Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the managing director of Provide Digital. We make bespoke software for the healthcare sector. We predominantly work with private healthcare companies and the national health service (NHS).

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with CROWDAPPS TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED?

We needed help building an appointment prediction system for general practitioner (GP) surgeries in the local area. We wanted to help our clients allocate the appropriate resources by utilizing current birth rate data. We needed a technology partner to help create the system, so we reached out to CROWDAPPS.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We approached CROWDAPPS to help us build the appointment prediction system, and our CTO was the primary project manager. We met with them to discuss our requirements, and they developed the system as a desktop application or Smart App.

They built the application for use on any device that connects to the internet and created the UI to be very intuitive. We didn’t have them make it accessible to the app store because healthcare providers and GP surgeons primarily use the software.

What is the team composition?

We have worked with about six people, and the team size changes according to each project phase.

How did you come to work with CROWDAPPS TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED?

Our business model is based on leveraging relationships within our network. CROWDAPPS came recommended to us through one of our partners, and we met with them to see if our workflow and ethos aligned. Then, we chose to engage them to help us build the system.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested roughly $30,000 in this project, including the development build, support, data cloud use, and platform maintenance.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our collaboration with CROWDAPPS began in January 2022, and the platform went live in June 2022. The product has launched, but our partnership is ongoing; they continue to help us with maintenance, support, and upgrades. We plan to continue the relationship to build out other features in the future.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

This project was our first engagement with CROWDAPPS, so we wanted to evaluate how they performed based on our requirements, and they did really well. We wanted partners with their own ideas about the platform and were invested in the project.

We measured success by how quickly they turned around deliverables and if they asked clarifying questions. They asked many questions and provided suggestions, which we valued. They have met our expectations for the required technology, features, functionality, and deliverables.

How did CROWDAPPS TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED perform from a project management standpoint?

CROWDAPPS was extremely flexible and agile in their approach to the project. They were very open with us throughout the process and amenable to everything we asked. They met every deadline and were good communicators.

We don’t particularly believe in weekly development project meetings, but we met frequently to discuss details. Our process was more about maintaining open communication channels via Teams, WhatsApp, and email, allowing them to turn around the platform quickly. We are very happy with their work and plan to use their services for additional projects.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They did everything well. I was particularly impressed with how they integrated our technology asks with the UI display. They made the platform very intuitive, and they built it for non-technical end users. Our target audience is healthcare professionals, so the platform had to be simple for users to input what they needed to receive the desired output.

They could have created the platform more technically, but that wouldn’t have suited our client base. They made the application very user-friendly, which is excellent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing CROWDAPPS could improve on that immediately comes to mind. Inevitably, there will always be small bugs, and I imagine users will present their own ideas to improve the platform, but there’s nothing I wish they’d done better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Development projects are all about relationship building and maintaining regular contact. I advise providing CROWDAPPS with all the necessary information rather than holding things back.

I’m a co-founder and CEO of Receipts Minder Limited, a receipt management platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with CROWDAPPS TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED?

We came up with a new idea and wanted to check its technological feasibility.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

CROWDAPPS provides us with web development. First, we laid out the idea for the team, discussed the best way to do it, and they came up with a solution for building it. The team also did design work. We requested that the design be elegant and include environment-related colors, like green. We worked back and forth with the design; we’d give them feedback and request changes, and they’d modify the design and get back to us. From there, they developed our SaaS product.

Our product has a business side and a customer side. On the customer side, the app can convert paper receipts into digital receipts. For example, users can go to a shop and scan the receipt into the system at the end of the transaction, and it will send the receipt to their app. This way, users contribute to the environment by not taking the paper receipt. For the business side, we use the app as a marketing platform where businesses can send offers and promotions directly to the customers’ app. CROWDAPPS hosted our platform at first, and currently, they provide maintenance. For example, recently, the website was showing an error, and they fixed it.
