We keep communication direct, transparent and adapted to how each client prefers to work. Depending on the project, this can include email, regular meetings, shared project management tools and direct communication with the people involved. For ongoing work, we report on the metrics that matter to the engagement, such as development progress, SEO performance, advertising results, conversions or completed work. We also believe clients should understand what we are doing and why, so our reporting focuses on useful information and next actions rather than simply sending reports full of numbers.

We intentionally work with a limited number of clients at a time so our team can stay closely involved in each project. The exact number varies depending on the size and complexity of the work. Some clients need us for a specific project, while others work with us continuously across development, eCommerce, SEO and marketing. We prefer long-term relationships and direct collaboration over taking on more projects than our team can properly support.

We build solutions with relevant privacy, security and data protection requirements in mind, including GDPR for projects handling personal data in the EU. Requirements vary by industry and jurisdiction. For regulated environments such as healthcare and HIPAA, we define the applicable requirements with the client and their legal or compliance team before development begins, then design the technical implementation accordingly. We don't provide legal compliance certification or legal advice, but we can implement the technical measures required by the agreed compliance framework.

We measure success against the business goals defined for the project, rather than relying on a single metric. Depending on the work, this can include revenue, conversion rate, qualified leads, organic visibility, advertising performance, site performance, customer behaviour and operational improvements. We usually work as an extension of the client's team rather than simply delivering a project and moving on.
