Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Covington Place Partners was engaged to support a proof of concept for an agentic AI API integration solution, with the goal of helping Connectbase evaluate whether AI agents could accelerate the creation of new telecom supplier API integrations. The scope included platform onboarding and training, hands-on agent workflow design, configuration and optimization guidance, use of prior API integrations as reference context, development of a sample API integration from telecom provider documentation, creation of supporting agent workflows and documentation, and recommendations for scaling the approach from a single proof of concept into a repeatable onboarding model.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We reduced the cost of performing the API development process by $1.2M per year.

We built an Agentic AI solution that took an API development process from 4-6 weeks to 1 hour (nearly a 99% reduction in time).

Rather than simply executing against a statement of work, they collaborated closely with our leadership and engineering teams, provided thoughtful recommendations, and were highly responsive to questions, feedback, and changing requirements. Their flexibility and partnership-oriented approach made them feel like an extension of our own team throughout the engagement.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed us most was their willingness to explore, experiment, and adapt alongside us. Because we were working in a rapidly evolving area of agentic AI, they didn't come in with a rigid playbook. They collaborated closely with our team, iterated quickly based on what we learned, and helped shape both the technical solution and the delivery approach. Their flexibility, curiosity, and partnership mindset made them feel like a true extension of our organization rather than an outside consultant. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Covington Place Partners, LLC could have done differently?

The primary area for improvement would have been establishing more explicit, measurable outcomes at the beginning of the engagement. As the project evolved and we learned more about the capabilities and direction of agentic AI, we reset the project midstream to better align on priorities. That evolution was natural for an exploratory initiative, but defining clearer success criteria and milestone outcomes upfront would have reduced the need for course corrections. Overall, they adapted well to the changing direction and remained a strong collaborative partner throughout.
