I’m the former project manager for a software company.

We needed a company to develop our website and web application.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our website, web app, and web platform to develop the licensing part to give discounts, etc. to our customers for data marketing. They used PHP and Laravel. They helped with some digital marketing with Google AdWords and cold calling. They started with Facebook but we ended up closing the page.

There was a team of four people.

I don’t remember how we came in contact with them. I believe it was via Upwork.

We’ve spent $20,000–$25,000.

We started working together in July 2017, and we wrapped up in September 2018.

They give their best to each project instead of having multiple projects and trying to make more money. They have a good team that delivers on time.

We had a dedicated resource who managed the project. They did a good job. 95% of the time, they followed the proper procedure by doing the sprints and standup calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re more affordable. They’re more focused and they give 100%. The people they hire are mature.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Initially, we didn’t have dedicated resources. I would have liked it from the start.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust the process. It’s a combination of waterfall and agile which is very good.
