What was the scope of their involvement?

We've outsourced CopperCodes' team to develop our MVP, a complex software platform. Our product is a mobile application with an integrated web panel. As the product manager, I've built its UI/UX and forwarded that design to CopperCodes for their team to implement the necessary development solutions.

They've used React Native to develop our platform's mobile-friendly functionalities and relied on React.js and AWS to build and host its web panel. CopperCodes has used Figma to incorporate my design into the app and built its complex backend to accommodate interlinking profiles. They've also integrated a basic login feature and used other technologies to guarantee that the app is safely running.

CopperCodes is still running app testings to identify errors and bugs that can potentially impede our platform's performance — we're planning to kick off its go-live once the assessment phase is concluded. We're in the healthcare industry, so we need to ensure that our product won't compromise our users' data safety and privacy.

CopperCodes has built a reliable product that's almost ready for its go-live. Their team has professionally met our requirements — they've not only delivered their tasks well, but they've done these accurately with the intent of providing us with a patentable product. It's our first time dealing with such a development project, and their team has helped us adapt to new processes. Additionally, they've been patient in handling our changing needs.

How did CopperCodes perform from a project management standpoint?

They rely on Trello and GitHub for project management, but I've also asked them to keep me in the loop through Google Drive. CopperCodes is on top of their project management game — they have an impressive project manager who's always aware of our business goals and keeps each project phase organized to make things easier for us. Gyrono Tech is web development and IT consulting company based in Goa, India. We serve clients in technologies like PHP, JavaScript, Node.js etc. I am the founder and CEO of Gyrono Tech.

Our client wanted a mobile app to be developed for his business.The business installs Audio/Video systems in different superstores across the country and plays different songs and videos at different times depending upon the crowd that enters the superstore at that particular time.

CopperCodes provided mobile app which could be installed in android boxes and the android boxes are in turn connected to display output, the whole process was seamless and the the apps could play audio/video in offline mode by storing the data while the box is online. Machine learning and data analysis was used to play the songs based on the type of crowd in the store at that current moment.

We searched for mobile app development services in our area, there were 6 candidates that we shortlisted out of which coppercodes stood out as they were very professional right from the beginning. They provided insights into how the whole system will work and also looked at how to make business model stronger by integrating machine learning. And the pricing structure was also very affordable and feasible so we decided to choose coppercodes.

First there was a discussion phase with me the client and Rohan(Founder of coppercodes), Rohan looked into the business structure and guided us on what are the best options to go in terms of tech. Secondly we had a meeting with developers who designed a complete system architecture and we had a round of discussion and changes needed. Depending upon our feedback the developers made changes and designed database structure after confirming the same we started with development

Project manager and one senior back end developer and a junior front end developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

App was ready within 2 months with all the features as we discussed in the initial phase, the new system integrated with clients business model very seamlessly and expect for bugs once in a while there were no issues at all. Even the bugs were cleared as soon as we reported them.

The project manager was easy to communicate and system were properly put in place also the procedures for each and every thing was well defined so there was not much issues that we faced

The communication and the suggestions they made really showed the experience they had, which was really impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were initially few bugs once the system was live and running which was solved as soon as we reported them and within 15 days the system was bug free.

At CIBA, we come across a lot of startups who are looking for solutions ranging from guidance to seed funding. Coppercodes helps us provide solutions to the startups who are looking for technical solutions and has been consistent and seamless when it comes to providing solutions and support to the startups over the course of time.

We wanted to make a mobile app for the nightlife industry which aggregates all the nightclubs and pubs based on location, price etc. The user should be able to book tickets to different nightclubs and pubs and should be able to talk to the manager of each venue over integrated chat functionality. Coupon codes, discounts etc. are some of the functionality which was required in the app.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We met Rohan (managing director of coppercodes) in a tech event where we spoke about our long term requirements. Once the initial conversation went well we set up a meeting in the Ciba office to discuss our first project. It was a very insightful meeting as Rohan gave us a lot of insights into technicalities and also gave a lot of suggestions about technical as well as business aspects.

We had a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals and objectives. Within 1 week they provided us with a technical scope of work, wireframes and designs that were really helpful to put the whole technical part in perspective. Once deliverables were finalized they provided us with the first round of IOS and Android app and after the beta release and testing from different users in the market we launched the app. Technology used: React Native, Node.js etc.

A project manager with 6+ years of experience was assigned as a point of contact, additionally there were 2 backend, 1 frontend developer and 1 UI/UX designer with around 3+ years experience each.

Within 2 months of app launch we crossed 1000+ downloads and has 4.9+ ratings on the play store.

They used JIRA as a project management tool, all the task on day to day basis were updated by each developer so it was really easy to keep a track of the progress. They also used CI/CD pipelining which made the development efficient and fast. We followed everyday scrum call at 10 am with entire team and team was punctual with call as well as task timelines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Right from the start of the project there was no pushing of the services. They explained each and every step, and they didn't hesitate to answer any time we had doubts or questions. We loved the communication and flexibility.

Deployment process took a bit longer than expected but I guess it was due App store team.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

CopperCodes designed & developed our SimplyGifted website for us. SimplyGifted is a platform to prepare children (K-12) for entry in various Gifted & Talented Programs across the United States. We required a Responsive Website for potential customers i.e parents to get to know more about our program, connect with our team, book classes from the website and establish an online presence. This involves UI/UX Design & Web Development which was covered by the CopperCodes team. 

Their team has designed a user-friendly and intuitive User Interface using Figma, after having done diligent work in understanding User Needs & multiple User Journeys. The website involved a Lead Form to accumulate data about interested parents wanting to tutor their children for taking various tests. 

Further, this lead form was to be integrated with our Learning Management Software (LMS), which allows a centralized management to schedule classes, allow payments, and follow-up with interested customers, all at one place. 

There was also a requirement to link the website with a Bookings page for interested parents to register their children for available classes. Lastly, an Administration Panel allows the team to upload Blogs & other posts to engage with customers, as well as add newer tests offered by SimplyGifted.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Coppercodes completed the Web Development within scheduled time & we could progress with the Digital Marketing accordingly. We were able to get in touch with our first customers as a result of this.

Prompt in project management to deliver results in scheduled time. CopperCodes follows Agile methodologies of software development with features distributed into Milestones & Sprints. The team actively engaged with us to update us on the progress on a regular basis, or reviews after each Sprint etc. The team were readily available at all times and they had good communication skills to ensure no miscommunication occurred. Everything was tracked on spreadsheets & project management software.
