Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the CEO of Express Analytics. We're an AI-first marketing analytics company. We provide analytics services to improve the marketing of B2C companies.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with COPODS DESIGN?

We were launching a new product and needed them to create a UI/UX design for our prospects.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They went through a whole discovery process, understanding what the product was. They had a series of interviews with us, based on which they came up with wireframes and mockups, then followed this with the actual UI design.

What is the team composition?

The two co-founders worked with us directly. There were some other people involved in the project, the actual designers.

How did you come to work with COPODS DESIGN?

One of our VPs had worked with them in another capacity. One of our reasons for hiring them was that we knew their work. Anish (Co-Founder and Chief Design Officer, COPODS DESIGN) and Sumin (Co-Founder and UX Head, COPODS DESIGN) were both good at understanding what the business was and what we wanted to achieve, all the way from storyboarding to documenting the wireframes.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent close to $40,000 on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2017. The project was wrapped up by the end of January 2018. The product is still a work in progress as the design has to actually be implemented in technology.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t shared our design with any third-parties, in order to get a sense of what's right or wrong about it first. We're quite satisfied with their approach and with the work they did for us.

How did COPODS DESIGN perform from a project management standpoint?

Some of our team members used collaboration tools like Slack for the collaboration. They were always prepared. We had weekly conference calls during which they provided progress reports. They met all our expectations.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When hiring a consultant, we’re wanting to hire expertise in that particular space. On top of this, we’re also looking to have an entrepreneurial approach and get honest feedback on what would be too expensive or what isn't necessary. They had this approach while working with us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We may run into something when we actually get the product up-and-running, but I have no comments for now.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

It’s important to have the team document the work and stick to the budget. Other than this, they've done a decent job. This was an offshore collaboration and it’s usually difficult to find quality talent offshore, which is why we were happy to hire them.
