We engaged Complere to help with integrations and data import, manipulation, loading, and transformation from various sources.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Complere has extended various data engineering services to us over the years. We first engaged them for a small data-related project and were satisfied with the results, so we continued the partnership. Since first working together, they’ve helped us import CSV, TXC, and excel data from external systems and transform them into requirements. 

Additionally, the team has used Java and open-source technologies to create a custom software solution. The solution is an executive binary that we can deploy on our server as needed. They’ve also built a transformation logic that uses a complex set of rules to transform data into our desired format on demand. Some of the transformations require API calls, and they’ve also helped us with QA testing and deployment. Furthermore, they’ve developed BI dashboards for us.

We’ve worked primarily with Puneet (Chief Planning Officer & Co-Founder), but we’ve worked with three other team members from Complere.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since our first project, Complere’s data engineering efforts have saved us 4–6 months' worth of time per year. They’ve created a convenient, low-maintenance software solution that has helped with our go-to-market strategy. The team has also improved our application lifecycle through QA testing and deployment.

How did Complere Infosystem Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

When we first engaged Complere, Puneet handled the project exceptionally well. Since then, they’ve continued delivering work on time, according to our requirements. Regardless of our time difference, their communication has been top-notch. 

We’ve come to take advantage of the time difference because it enables us to keep the project moving on both sides. We use Trello to manage the project, and I’ve loved the tool ever since they introduced it to me. We typically meet via Zoom and communicate via WhatsApp, email, and Skype. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been most impressed by their desire to meticulously understand the requirements and create well-designed solutions. I’ve also appreciated their openness to feedback and commitment to ongoing improvement.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing Complere could improve on; they should keep doing what they’ve been doing.

As a pharmacy benefits manager, we’re a huge data shop; we constantly engage with medical offices, insurance companies, and other service providers. We needed to engage a reliable partner who could address our data-focused needs and take ownership of solution delivery.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with a discovery phase, where Complere learned about our processes, practices, and data landscape. We also taught them about healthcare data and the security, privacy, and compliance challenges that come along with it. Then, they built their own standard operating procedures to support us.

Now, Complere provides us with several data engineering solutions through their offshore team. The team gets data from various sources, including APIs, streaming, and feeds. Then, they process the data using the extract, transform and load logic and make sure it gets to the right place. 

They’ve also recommended technology and process strategies and helped us set up technical models. Furthermore, they’ve built business intelligence reports for our healthcare analytics team from scratch.

I typically interact with Isha (Co-Founder & CEO) and Puneet (Co-Founder & Chief Planning Officer), who manage the overall team.

 What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve measured success by how well they’ve completed projects or individual requests. We’ve also tracked the number of defects we’ve found during production.

How did Complere Infosystem Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

Complere has done a good job from a process perspective. They’re the most knowledgeable and customer-focused service provider we’ve ever worked with. Since their team is offshore, we’ve faced a few challenges, but nothing out of the ordinary. They’ve provided us with awesome, technically-skilled resources who’ve been committed to our project from the start. The team has consistently met deadlines and operated within the budget. Our teams have met for daily stand-ups via Microsoft Teams, and we’ve used Microsoft Planner and Trello to keep track of tasks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Complere’s biggest strength is their technical knowledge and their commitment to delivery, which matters to us. Rather than just checking a box or providing us with resources, Complere has differentiated themselves by ensuring the work they’ve committed to actually gets accomplished.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Aside from the fact that they’re a growing company facing the typical challenges, I have nothing Complere could improve on.

They've mainly delivered on all these fronts and are able to execute the most complex parts of the architecture.

If we find a challenge where a resource can’t deliver on time, we reach out to them to provide feedback via email.

I’d be happy if they could work in a hybrid culture where their resources have the ability to work on location.
