Commstec is a managed IT and cyber security provider based in Sheffield, supporting UK organisations since 2017.
We run Microsoft 365 and Google platforms, cloud infrastructure, networks, endpoint security and backup as one managed service, and produce the evidence regulated clients have to put in front of auditors and insurers.
We work with healthcare providers, accountancy and finance practices, legal firms, manufacturers and public sector bodies.
You speak to the engineers who look after your systems, not a queue that hands you on. Managed endpoints are patched, protected and monitored, with identity protection and MFA enforcement, nightly backup with tested restores, and monthly reporting you can hand to an auditor or insurer.
We are also Ofcom registered, so connectivity, business mobiles and cloud telephony come from the same supplier, with one support relationship rather than three.
We are Cyber Essentials certified, ISO 27001 aligned, ICO registered (ZC071809) and a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider.
We support organisations from sole traders up to to around a hundred users, with no minimum headcount. Most of our clients are in Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley, however we support clients across the globe.

Our Story
We started in 2017 doing consultancy and contract engineering: going into other people's environments, usually after something had already gone wrong, and putting it right. That is an unusual route into managed services, and it shaped what we built. We had already seen which parts of an estate get neglected, and which controls are claimed but not working. Break-fix is paid to attend problems. We are paid to stop them happening.
