CodeSketch

Your website has one job: turn the people who find you into people who contact you. Most small business sites are assembled from templates and quietly fail at it.

I work the other way. Every site is designed and hand-coded line by line. No templates, no Wix, no page builders, no AI site generators. My own site's critical path is about 30KB gzipped and loads in under two seconds on mobile data, and I hold client sites to the same standard.

Why hire someone in South Africa

You own the code. When the site is finished it is yours. Take it, host it where you like, hire whoever you like to work on it next. There is no builder subscription you cannot leave and no lock-in to me.

You approve every stage. You see the design at blueprint stage before a line of production code is written. If you do not love it, you walk away owing nothing. That is the whole guarantee and it is the reason it is safe to hire a studio you have not met.

The quote is fixed and in writing, in your currency, before work starts. No hourly creep, no surprise invoice at the end.

My working day overlaps London by at least six hours. South Africa sits two hours ahead of GMT all year, so a message sent from the UK in the morning is answered the same working day, not the next one. Every enquiry gets a reply within one working day.

What I do

New websites, for businesses getting their first proper site.

Redesigns, for sites that look dated or are not bringing in work.

Care plans, covering hosting, security and updates.

White label builds for agencies. I build, you resell under your own brand, and I never appear to your client.

Before you decide anything

Put your current site through my free grader. It scores speed, mobile, design age and conversion in about 60 seconds, no sign-up, and the score is on screen straight away: codesketch.co.za/website-grader
