Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of SliteResume, a recruitment agency.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with CodeCrew?

We needed someone to design and develop our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They designed and developed our entire web platform. My designer and their designer collaborated on the design and CodeCrew did 100% of the development on their end. They used Node.js for the backend and Angular and React for the frontend. It took them 2-3 months to finish designing. They also did a lot of prototyping.

The code of the platform is a matchmaking algorithm. The platform connects employers with job seekers. Each party can create an account. There’s an algorithm on the basis of around 25-30 parameters, including the experience of the candidate, the type of company that the candidate is looking for, education history, skillset, etc.

What is the team composition?

I started with the project manager and then I worked with a couple of developers and designers. There were 7-8 people.

How did you come to work with CodeCrew?

I met with the project manager at a networking event. We casually met for drinks and discussed my idea and what I wanted and he pitched ideas.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March 2018—January 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They did an exceptional job with the matchmaking algorithm.

How did CodeCrew perform from a project management standpoint?

Midway through the project, they changed the project manager and my team was having trouble with the new one because they had already built a rapport with the first project manager. It was a small issue we had at first. Other than that, project management was good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I liked best about them is how the entire team was fully involved in the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything was right in place.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to be involved with the whole team rather than just the project manager.
