Hiring good developers in the US is as difficult as it has ever been, so we wanted to look for a company that could provide near-shore high quality, English speaking developers covering an array of competencies, ranging from Cloud Infrastructure to Web App Development to APIs.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

90 Days had to demonstrate strong working knowledge of core platforms and languages, and ability ato quickly learn where a knowledge gap existed. Metrics were team-mates see CodePower dev as a valuable addition to the team, and where the quantity and quality of code and end product is at or above average team performance.

Daily Standups, Weekly Goals and Quarterly Vision and Review sessions meant there is little room to not deliver consistently - the quality of work was high from the beginning so we did not see any delays due to CodePower joining the team.

I'm impressed by the ease with which core needs are delivered - the management team simplified the process of finding, onboarding and managing the right new team member.

The contract for payment was a little confusing, but no more so than every other vendor in the space. That said, once agreed, their billing and remittance is exceptional.

Code Power worked with the company to define and deliver a full engineering operation for our SaaS application. This included product design, architecture, development, cloud engineering, devops, automation, release management and support.

Optic Power was able to take our product vision and assist in the design and implementation of the initiative. They also were instrumental in our ongoing operational support of the product.

Optic Power's account management through Jose and day to day engineering management and assistance through Jansen were top notch. They were always responsive and willing to go the extra mile to make our organization successful.

The Optic Power team did not seem to have routine support and guidance from the executive team, but found a way to be successful nonetheless.

To develop an application our staff can use to schedule daily and weekly calendars for meetings, daily rituals, and tasks.

Based on their reputation of performing high-end work on time and on budget.

We started with an MVP, and have proceeded from there to a full-service version I used daily. We are now expanding to match different work styles.

We have a project manager, a designer, several developers, a developer managers and a QA person.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The tool allows us to schedule a week to 10 days out in 30 minutes or less. This compares to 2 hours before this app.

We meet weekly to discuss the project, design choices, and status. We also use Slack. They are very professional in terms of project management.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are passionate about this tool. In fact, we added a gmail version so they could use it in-house. That speaks volumes about their commitment and passion.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We've been working together for more than a year. We've never had a problem. Development is something that takes patience, and it doesn't always progress smoothly, but they've been great to work with.

This including frontend work, backend work, and database work. AWS was leveraged for the infrastructure and working closely within AWS was also a part of the project(s)

High quality work being delivered to production was the primary success metric and was achieved consistently.

Friendbase Virtual world needed to port the existing platform and apps to Unity. The key deliverables are apps on iOS and Android as well as a content management back-end system.

Initially not, the whole first 12 months were a problem with communication and deliverables. However, the last 12 months were good, with well-structured work packages, clear communication, and timely deliveries.

Mostly the culture fit and that several of the staff went beyond what was expected from them in regards to engagement, creativity and expertise.
