Cocha Technology is a cybersecurity and fractional CISO firm serving law firms, oil and gas companies, medical device manufacturers, and PE-backed businesses across the United States. We were founded on a simple observation: most mid-market organizations in regulated industries carry more data exposure than they realize, and their current IT setup isn't built to find it.

Our work starts where most security conversations don't. Before recommending a tool or writing a policy, we look at what's already exposed inside your Microsoft 365 environment — overshared SharePoint libraries, ungoverned Teams channels, email archives accessible to the wrong people. That's where the real risk lives, and it's almost always there before any AI tool enters the picture.

From there we build. Our services include Microsoft 365 security hardening, Data Security Posture Management, Zero Trust architecture, fractional CISO and CIO engagements, and AI governance frameworks for organizations deploying Copilot or other enterprise AI tools. Every engagement is led by a senior practitioner, not handed off to a junior team.

We work specifically in regulated industries because that's where the stakes are highest and the gap between compliance and actual security is widest. A law firm managing privileged client communications has different exposure than a retailer. An oil and gas operator with OT systems has different risk than a SaaS startup. We build our work around those differences, not around a generic framework applied to every client the same way.
