Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We were having terrible security issues with our emailing system which first prompted the call the CMIT. The first objective was to get our company functioning and the blocks removed from our outbound communication. After that was fixed, we did a full overhaul of every computer in the office and installed new managed security on every device. After experimenting with a couple of different Cloud Management systems for our server, we decided on a hardware upgrade and migrated all of our company data to a new in-house server system with Cloud functioning and networked all of our computers and other digital devices for in-house work and travel. Along the way there were many small items to fix/repair before we could move ahead as our original system was a patchwork of various IT managers and staff members, different operating system functions, and personal preferences from ownership and staff in terms of which systems were necessary to keep for ease of use.

While things have calmed down exponentially in the past couple of months, there are still a number of punchlist items and clean-up to do with the full overhaul, but overall we are just much happier to have everything operating at a safer and more consistent level of service.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

1. Having everyone's primary device linked and functioning without issue
2. No reoccurence of email issues or being added to company blacklists
3. Participation in cyber security training sessions by all staff

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Our primary service person, Kam, has been extremely attentive and quick to respond from the get-go. Always willing to take a call or work late/early to make sure that things are functioning properly for us during our work hours has been wonderful.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

How many people they had assigned to our case when we needed the extra assitance. The speed with which things are handled when additional staff are assigned to the case is noticeable instead of having to wait for call windows where a single person shows up and sometimes can't fix the issue in a set appointment time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something CMIT Solutions of Chicago Downtown could have done differently?

It would be helpful to have more frequent top level meetings to go over functionality, punchlist items and what's left to be accomplished and to set who is responsible and the timeline for getting those things done. I feel like now that we are functional, it's easy to gloss over the rest of the things that we would like to see done to have us operating at 100%.
