I’m a managing partner at LabNow, an advertising services company. We’re global experts in new customer acquisition via emerging digital channels, including social media, web, email, SMS, and chat. We’re currently working with debt relief, legal leads for attorneys, home restoration, and utility verticals, but we’re continually expanding.

What challenge were you trying to address with CloudAstra Technologies?

We needed a custom software solution that could help us manage how we handle and distribute leads across different verticals. The tools we were using before didn’t give us the flexibility or control we needed, especially with the volume of data we work with daily.

What was the scope of their involvement?

CloudAstra Technologies provided us with custom software development and design. They handled the full development process from the backend to the frontend. This included setting up the architecture, building out a user dashboard, integrating third-party APIs, and making sure everything could handle real-time data. The system was tailored around our internal workflows, like lead tracking, filtering, user permissions, and reporting.

The team built the solution from scratch. They also did the design work. The user logs in to the system with their credentials, and the role-based access shows only the data relevant to them. Once logged in, they land on a personalized dashboard showing the number of new leads available, campaign performance metrics, and any tasks or follow-ups assigned to them.

For technologies, we used WordPress, Drupal, PHP, and Python. For the frontend, we used React.js to build an interactive and responsive user dashboard. For the backend, we used Python for more data-driven and AI-integrated workflows. For the database, we used MongoDB. The team also provided us with maintenance and hosting services.

What is the team composition?

We mainly worked with the project manager and two developers. One focused on the backend, and the other on the frontend. At different points, someone handled QA. It was a small, focused team, and communication was smooth.

The new system has made a big difference in how we manage leads. We’ve cut down on manual work, made our processes more efficient, and the platform works better for our day-to-day needs. It helps us reduce delays and errors, which is huge for us.

The project management was solid. We had weekly check-ins, and they were always quick to respond. We mainly used email and Google Meet to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impressed us the most was how quickly they understood what we needed. Not just from a technical point of view; they got the business side, too. It felt like they weren’t just building what we asked for but also thinking about how to make it better for how we actually work. I was really flattered.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In the beginning, some of the documentation could’ve been a little bit more structured, especially around deployment steps and internal handover. However, once we mentioned it, they improved quickly, so it didn’t turn into a problem.

Be open with them about what’s not working in your current process. They’re good at coming up with smart solutions, especially for custom setups. If you include them early in your planning, they’ll help you think things through and make better decisions from the start.
