When we hired Cloud9devs to make a special web app for our client's vehicle fleet management, they took care of everything from the beginning to the end. They did a lot of work to bring our ideas to life, and I want to tell you all about it. 
They made a sample version of the app so we could see what it would look like. It was great because we could test it out and see if everything was working right. 

We worked together with the Cloud9devs team to make sure the app would do everything we needed it to do.
 They also made the web app look really nice and easy to use. The people at Cloud9devs are experts at making things look good and making them easy to understand. They made sure the web app had a great design that matched our client's style and made it enjoyable for people to use.
 

Right now, they are finishing up the app and doing all the technical stuff to make sure it works perfectly. They are doing a great job, and we can't wait to see the final result.
 So, to sum it all up, Cloud9devs has been doing an amazing job with our web app project. They made a sample version, designed it beautifully, and are almost done with the final version. We are really happy with all the work they have done so far.

Cloud9devs provided us with webapp implementation based on the UX/UI design from our side. Our scope of work consisted of project management, architecture design, backend development and frontend development. It was a pretty complex webapp where we needed a lot of help in the design phase as well and we recieved great feedback & input throughout the project.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Webapp which we could access in staging environment from very early on. We had bi-weekly sprints where the Cloud9devs team informed us about the progress over a video call. They always delivered what was promise and we got to see new parts of the webapp developed every sprint.

The project management was phenomenal and completely surprised us. The team kept as informed on a daily basis and was even ready to take on additional tasks during sprints, thought this is not common in software development. They always delivered on time or informed us soon enough when they discovered some things that were more complex than originally envisioned. 

They were and still are a dream to work with regarding communication and being on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are a team of dedicated professionals with tons of experience, but still enough spark to bring excitement to the table. They were very focused and it was a nice mixture of outside motivation and excellence which really impressed us throughout the development cycle. They promise a lot, but I have to say, that they deliver even more. 

The actual frontend implementation was pretty much picture perfect and while there is always that nervous tension when waiting for the first access, when we got one, we were blown away. The webapp looked fantastic.

Are there any areas for improvement or something {provider_name} could have done differently?

There is always room for improvement, but the most important thing is that the client is willing to adapt. During the project we did encounter some small misunderstandings, but the Cloud9devs team reacted professionaly and was willing to adapt and that is what I find the most important.

We required staff augmentation services because we needed good engineering talent very quickly so that we could scale up our team fast.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cloud9devs provides us with engineers to help us build our products. Initially, we provided them with regular job descriptions that included the type of engineers we needed, as well as the required skill set and personality traits. Thus far, their engineers have helped us with three different products, using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript as the main technologies.

One of our main results is that Cloud9devs has been able to provide us with highly skilled engineers very quickly. This has allowed us to accelerate our development efforts and provide customers with a product much faster. Additionally, Cloud9devs has brought expertise we didn’t have before, especially regarding frontend development. Their engineers are very good and have met our expectations, so we’re satisfied with them.

How did Cloud9devs perform from a project management standpoint?

Cloud9devs has delivered all the requested work on time, and they’ve been very flexible as well. Moreover, they’re responsive and proactive, so they reach out to us to see how everything is going. We communicate via email and Zoom.

Cloud9devs has a high degree of ownership, and their resources work very well with full-time engineers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Continuity is always challenging when working with staff augmentation service providers. Engineers are always looking for full-time positions, so some of Cloud9devs’ resources have left the project to go to a different company outside of Cloud9devs. It would be good if they let us know in advance when their resources are planning on leaving them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have proactive communication with your account manager and ensure that they understand your upcoming projects. If they have enough time in advance, they can find great engineers quickly.

We had a situation, where we didn't have enough team members to cover all our clients' needs at the time, and we had no time for hiring and vetting new team members, so Romano offered us a helping hand.

Cloud9devs provided a Webflow developer to help us cover a larger workload we had at the time, after our sales exploded last winter and spring. The developer was responsible for a variety of tasks, from maintenance work to developing new landing pages (converting Figma to Webflow) and entire websites, as well as various 3rd party integrations, such as Hubspot. The work was done both on our company's as well as our clients accounts.

Cloud9devs provided a few people for us to review, and we decided for one of them, since we only needed one additional member for our workload at the time. The process was then very simple: we created a new company email for the new team member, added him to Slack and briefed him of our work processes and communication standards. He basically became part of our team, was very diligent and easy to work with.

Their support came in at the right moment and helped us keep clients as satisfied as ever, since we did not need to lower our quality standards or increase turnaround times.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our team is fully remote, as is theirs, so all our processes were already in place. Everything was straightforward and clear. Their team member basically became a part of our family for the time being.

The quality of their developers is great, especially for the price, as is their flexibility when it comes to contractual adjustments.

I don't have anything specific in mind.

We’re a web development company with 70 employees that focus on corporate clients. My position is a hybrid of sales and project management.

For what projects/services did your company hire Cloud9devs?

We were looking for a senior Wordpress developer on a contract basis to work on our projects. It was difficult finding it through our network as none were available and we urgently needed assistance.

SOLUTION

How did you select this agency and what were the deciding factors?

It was recommended to us by an acquaintance who had a good experience hiring a developer themselves which was satisfied with the fast response time. Among fast response time, the other factor was the number of provided candidates (they provided us with 4 suitable candidates).

In the end we chose one that had the most experience. The price was a factor as well, as other agencies quoted insane hourly rates. Although their rate was high, we were satisfied with the end result.

As we’re a quite big agency that works with dozens of clients at the same time, we don’t have the exact details, as the developer worked on different projects at the same time, usually fixing hard issues that our more junior developers could not resolve themselves. He also helped us out with a complex integration of our new internal PIM system (PIM core).

It was quite simple actually: we sent them the requirements, estimated hiring length and asked for a few candidates with quoted hourly rates. As they provided us with 4 candidates that were all a good fit, we went with the most experienced one.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

We only needed a senior developer for 3 months, but decided to hire for 5 months since he helped us relieve the stress on the rest of our teams.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I’d say it was excellent as their response time was usually within a few hours.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Fast response time. With other agencies it usually takes a day to get a response.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes, it would be great if they could share their onboarding process on the website or something similar, as we weren’t really aware how it works out, as they’re outsourcing developers.

Other agencies in the space rarely want to outsource their developers, but it seems like this is their core business. Could have been communicated more clearly about what they do and how they help. Nonetheless we were satisfied with the overall process.
