I am the CEO and founder of Massive Media.

What challenge were you trying to address with Clerk?

We needed more detailed reporting to generate more insight into the business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They spent a significant amount of time learning our business on a deeper level so that they could set up our books in a way that would give us bigger insights into our finances and align with industry standards. They took over our payroll and handle all of our accounts payable.

What is the team composition?

We work with five people. This includes an account manager and a controller who we meet with regularly in order to gain insight into our books. That person lets us know how we're operating and how we're set up from a financial perspective. They also have a payroll and accounts payable person who manages the cash flow and a CPA.

How did you come to work with Clerk?

They approached us because they’re a spinoff of a company we previously worked with. They identified us as a business that outgrew their previous company.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend about $1,000 a month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began in November 2019 and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work has saved me a lot of time. I’m looking for insights that I can find now without having to be bogged down in the admin data. I also can rely on the data I look at, as they ensure accuracy and cleanness. I know that I can count on the information they provide.

They also set up an additional reporting system that helps them manage it. I can manage our cash flow far more closely now.

How did Clerk perform from a project management standpoint?

I wouldn’t give them perfect marks, solely because I had to project manage them a little at the beginning because they were new. They’ve got their groove now and it’s a lot better.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve adapted to our business because some industry standards don’t work for us. If I explain what won’t work, they’ll adjust.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re great.
