Please describe your company and your position there.

Allianz Sigorta A.Ş. is an insurance company. Founded in 1923. We have two location in Turkey and we have almost 2500 employees. I am the Health Domain Leader in Organization management department

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire CheckBox Software & Consultancy?

As we do not have enough experience about BRE, we supply outsource resources. Also, we work with Checkbox at turnkey projects.

What were your goals for this project?

In health insurance side, all business rules was in source codes. There was not manageable. They have made re-generate all business rules at IBM Rule Engine. So , we have a lean, manageable business model, which is our project goal.

How did you select this vendor?

They had done different BRE projects in the past years, we were satisfied with their work quality. They completed their projects on time, on scope and on budget. For these reasons, we preferred to work with them again.

They examined the business rules in the database. They met with business units and identified new needs. They created a manageable, understandable BRE flow. They divided business rules into logical groups and designed their flow and they implemented.

What was the team composition?

The project team had 11 member. They worked with agile scrum methodology. 7 developer, 1 analyst&scrum master, 1 product owner, 2 tester

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

As the business rules became clear, some rules were canceled and some changes were made to speed up the process.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The team regularly complied with deadlines. they used Jira for agile project rituels and they used skype for team communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Working with agile methodology, the team was successful in choosing jobs with value priority.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Ice breaker activities could be done to shorten in-team collaboration.
