BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm marketing coordinator for an IT product called FlowControl. Sycope is focused on designing and developing highly specialized IT solutions for monitoring and improving network and application performance.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Chaos Gears, and what were your goals?

We wanted to make an integration with AWS services so they could help us with data collection and analysis. The primary purpose we wanted to gain was an analysis security and risk identifying.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were searching for an experienced team — an AWS integrator, who had the know-how and capabilities to deliver the projects smoothly. After interviewing them, we chose this vendor based on their past projects and cost estimation corresponding with our budget.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The integration was supposed to serve an easy analytics process using data collection. Chaos Gears implemented AWS technologies as API Gateway, Lambda, Amazon Kinesis, Athena, Dynamo DB, SQS, Cloud Watch. They used Agile methodology divided into specific phases, and they were delivering the following system functionalities step by step.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project manager was our main point of contact throughout the process. There was a team of 5 people including cloud engineers and cloud architects.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After integration with AWS we definitely agree, that it improve and automate business processes in our product delivery. We are happy with the possibilities and benefits AWS cloud solution provided us.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We had a regular weekly meeting with project manager, who communicated with the rest of the team. In the meantime we could communicate through Slack communicator. If there were any delays or changes they let us know.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We gain not just a service provider but a partner and advisor for services based on AWS. All the work done by Chaos Gears was widely documented. We recommend partnering with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were some minor bugs on the migration process, but it was resolved quickly and easily.
