What challenge were you trying to address with CDW?

We needed someone to help us install an AV system for a room where we have our training and board education meetings.

What was the scope of their involvement?

CDW provided and installed an AV technology with automated functional systems that also control our projectors and other hardware.

What is the team composition?

We largely worked with an account manager, a project manager, and subcontractors.

How did you come to work with CDW?

We decided to work with them because of their competitive pricing, and the fact that we didn’t have the time to do the project ourselves.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent a total of $11,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May–October 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

More or less, they were able to deliver a functioning system that can be operated by anybody, but they've failed in every interaction we've had with them from a service and value perspective.

How did CDW perform from a project management standpoint?

CDW did a poor job of managing the subcontractors. They didn’t program the system correctly, so they had to come in on three separate occasions to fix their mistakes — they even charged us $800 to do all of it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very good at keeping an inventory of their products and being able to deliver them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could’ve managed their subcontractors better to ensure that the system was working once it was installed.
