We had an old mobile app that needed an update. We decided to rebuild it using Flutter, making it look and work better without losing our current users. To do this, we carefully planned with the service provider to move everything from the old version to the new one.

The scope involved rapidly building a nearshore product team comprising 8 engineers, a Product Owner, a UI/UX designer, and QA Automation specialists. The work focused on four primary roadmap streams: Infrastructure, New Capabilities, Machine Learning, and EHR Integrations. 

Key deliverables included optimizing development, staging, and production environments, migrating from the current VM stack to modern Azure Services, verifying interface data and qualification, and relaunching the R&D process and team.

We had to quickly reorganize our engineering team because of budget changes, making sure we didn’t lower our quality. We needed engineers who could work in our time zone (PST), so we chose nearshore talent from LATAM, which was a great fit.
