What challenge were you trying to address with Bytes Evolution Systems?

We were looking for enhancements for the homegrown virtual health record (VHR) that we were using at the time.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bytes Evolution implemented bug fixes and enhanced fields on our VHR. They also added a reporting function, which was previously non-existent. Their goal was to make the platform more user-friendly.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Sam (Founder).

How did you come to work with Bytes Evolution Systems?

They were referred to us. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement lasted from March 2015–February 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to Bytes Evolution’s work, the time it took for providers to do their documentation decreased. Their enhancements were helpful across the board. 

How did Bytes Evolution Systems perform from a project management standpoint?

Bytes Evolution was great at project management. We had weekly scheduled calls where we touched base on how the project was progressing. We communicated via email between those calls, and I called when there were emergencies.

Bytes Evolution was very easy to work with — they were flexible despite our huge time difference. They were good at communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Bytes Evolution’s responsiveness and communication were impressive. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Use project management tools instead of solely relying on emails.

I’m a supervisor at a nonprofit organization. We teach students by offering GED and vocational classes, including nursing and construction, among others.

We needed help in doing an inventory for our pharmacy.

They created a big spreadsheet of inventory accounting for our business, and they’re currently helping us train our new staff in the module they set up for us.

We’ve spent $1,300 with them so far.

We started working together in September 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

The quality of their services is excellent; they prepared us for our last year’s audit, and our auditor was pleased with what they did.

How did Bytes Evolution Systems perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re good; they solve our questions promptly. In terms of communication, we use Zoom and emails — everything’s done online.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re knowledgeable and efficient in understanding what we’re looking for.

Sai Global Media Pte Ltd is a Singapore based software application development company that specializes in designing and developing Restaurant Management System. This digital ecosystem helps both customers and management to run their day to day operations smoothly.

This cloud based application namely RESTLink POS has many built in features like eMenu, Image Gallery, Promotions, Notifications, Table Reservations, Customer Feedback, Online Order and Self Order for customers.

Bytes Evolution Systems developed and deployed android based in app and web push notification for our cloud based restaurant management system.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected Bytes Evolution Systems through Toptal freelance talent network.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

They designed and developed android based in app and web push notification for our cloud based restaurant management system as a product feature. The development team used dot net technologies to implement this feature. The project included functional design specification, coding, user acceptance test and user manual.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were 3 people including one project manager and two senior developers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Push notification feature of our Restaurant Management System helped our customers to reach their clients with special promotions and advertisements.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We communicated with Skype call and Team Viewer to the development team. Their team is knowledgeable and systematic in application development.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They helped us to create a broad system specification to cater to the future needs of push notifications and completed the project within schedule. Wonderful after service support and detailed documentations are their strength. Bytes Evolution Systems was a trustworthy and dependable software development partner. Looking forward to work with more projects.

I work as a Director in a startup who are in the initial stage of developing creative solutions.

For what projects/services did your company hire Bytes Evolution Systems?

We wanted to develop a beta version of a Family Networking website called cMyRoots.com . We initially approached few vendors but did not work since they did not have the technical skills which was required for this project. Later approach Bytes Evolution for this website development.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I came to know about Bytes Evolution through a mutual friend and then reached out to them. We initially gave them a pilot project to evaluate their capabilities and post successful completion of the pilot project the beta site development was awarded to Bytes Evolution.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

cMyRoots beta was a Family Networking site which will solve many social problems of people. This project required a unique technical skill and a lot of creativity which Bytes Evolution had. Bytes Evolution did the end to end development of this project from the scratch right from initial brainstorming will successful Production deployment and support.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The CEO of Bytes Evolution was the point of contact for us and there were 2 developers apart from the the CEO.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The Beta site was successfully implemented and our company is using the beta site to demo to Potential investors to development the next version of the product.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our team use to communicate and collaborate with Bytes Evolution over Skype calls , Phone and email. We use to have weekly call for Project status and brainstorming ideas and technical challenges. Developers and QA share the status over email . For any critical issues we call the point of contact and Bytes Evolution usually provides resolution in a quick turnaround.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were technically sound, creative, and very professional. They go above and beyond by providing creative ideas and technical suggestions apart from the work assigned to them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing I can think of right at this moment.
