What challenge were you trying to address with Bundle Digital Ltd?

We have an ongoing relationship with them to improve our digital presence.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’re a sounding board for everything we do digitally — every page we launch, every offer we put together, every blog we write. Specifically, for blogs, they provide us with a copywriter who looks at gaps in our market for blogs. Rather than focus on hotels, for instance, we wrote blogs about travel to the highlands of Scotland. They review what we write.

They’ve also worked on our Facebook and Google Ads campaigns, as well as our SEO. The hotel industry is very competitive — we’re up against big-name brands with deep pockets so we got after unusual search terms.

With travel mostly being shut down for COVID, Bundle Digital helped us get a grant for digital marketing, and we’re about to embark on another set of projects with them.

We built a website over the summer, and since we had very limited services with everyone being on furlough, Bundle Digital stepped in to do the technical part of SEO. They provided deep expertise on how to build the website so it can gain traffic and not just stay static. They put all the correct monitoring tools into the website — including an advanced solution that gives feedback regarding how we’re building our pages.

We work with three people on their team.

How did you come to work with Bundle Digital Ltd?

We heard of them through a business networking organization in Scotland. We liked that they were a small company like us, as well as responsive. They’re young and dynamic, and that’s what you need in the hotel business.

How much have you invested with them?

We’re on a retainer that’s about £30,000 (approximately $41,500 USD) per year. It might be slightly more, as that doesn’t include what we spend on Facebook.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since April 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have dashboards upon dashboards that show Google Analytics and Facebook metrics. The best results are always are through Facebook because it costs so much money for hotels to compete on Google. Facebook also has an immediate impact — it can turn around immediate room sales for us.

When travel restrictions lifted in August, September, October, and November, we were desperate to get room sales so Bundle Digital tweaked the marketing campaigns and Facebook ads. In December, when more restrictions were put in place, rather than continue the process and make themselves more money, they told us to save our money. They don’t have us do anything unless it will directly affect us in a positive manner. Their responsiveness saves us money and earns us money in turn.

How did Bundle Digital Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very proactive, helping us save money on campaigns that aren’t producing the appropriate results. They’re responsive, and we communicate by email, WhatsApp, phone. Bundle Digital’s flexibility stands out, too.

What did you find most impressive about them?

A lot of digital agencies can make digital marketing seem hard but Bundle Digital cuts through the jargon and presents a digital solution to a layperson. They don’t overwhelm the way other companies might as a trick They’re a very good value for the money.to ramp up their fees. Bundle is practical, direct, and responsive.

A few weeks ago, someone created a false Facebook page for us on a Saturday morning. We failed to get it taken down ourselves, but Bundle Digital had access to a Facebook digital support team as a preferred provider and they got it taken down within two hours. You don’t get that responsiveness from a large company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In the last ten months, everyone has been put through a fair set of challenges. Bundle Digital only needs to keep being there for a business like ours when people are allowed to travel again.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Talk to them about what you want to achieve and don’t be afraid to ask questions you may think are silly — that’s how you get the best out of them.
