Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

BTR took the CCPA Toll Free application from concept to cash generation. Julian, the principal of BTR, has a background in advertising technology, which requires very robust systems capable of handling tens of thousands of transactions per minute. BTR brought the CCPA application to life with that level of rigor. The app has proved to be fast, reliable and very easy to extend.

We have been pleasantly surprised that BTR has responded to requests for expanded features with "Easy / no problem" type answers. The system allows our end customers to fully self provision and pay for our service.  For large enterprise clients that require handholding as part of their purchace decision, live product demos for prospects have been a joy—the software just works. The ability to offer enterprise clients features like API access and SSO has paved the way for many sales.

BTR also built a sophisticated internal dashboard for CCPA's management to provide insights into customer activity and options for solving common customer requests. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Extremely low rate of errors and ease of use of the product
• We have hundreds of paying customers from large national brands to SMEs. 
• Very low churn — 85% of customers from our first year in business remain with the company today.
• Monthly operating cost for the platform is extremely low, providing fantastic gross margins. 
• We have passed every information security review thrown at us by large customers.
• Quality of application solving a real business need has allowed us to increase prices without creating churn. 

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

BTR developed a milestone based project plan and provided weekly updates. After the launch phase, they set up a private staging site so that we could watch the product being built and test new functionality as it came to life. BTR actually came in ahead of schedule on getting to our MVP. They also integrated the web app nicely with our marketing website and assisted with SEO which was a bonus.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We're impressed with their ability to deploy robust applications quickly at what I considered to be very competitive rates. Quality everywhere — any defects hurt BTR's pride way more than they hurt our business. Any defects that surfaced were almost always stamped out same day. The software has been easy to expand with new features, and maintain from a security POV. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Build Test Repeat could have done differently?

We brought in our own UI designer for parts of the project. BTR worked well with her, but the project would have been even easier if BTR had this capability in house (and they may have this by now).
