BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of a nonprofit technology startup that operates worldwide doing environmental technology and scientific monitoring. I also founded a startup focused on building environmental monitoring technology as consumer products, such as smart homes for nature.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Brighter Future?

We engaged Brighter Future to help with brand strategy for a product we haven’t launched yet.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked on three contracts where Brighter Future has shared strategic advice for our overall banding ecosystem. For the first project, they ran several intensive brand strategy workshops to help us determine the purpose of our product and what it represents. They also conducted competitor research and utilized their insights to build new personas and focus on our brand’s long-term mission. 

For the second project, they designed the UI for one of our apps that has yet to launch. They worked off our brand guidelines and existing wireframes and shared their own suggestions for the final designs, which they delivered in Adobe XD. Their third project, which is the most ambitious, explores how we can use the UX for next-level storytelling within the app.

We work with Aaron and Catherine (Co-Founders). 

How did you come to work with Brighter Future?

They reached out to us on LinkedIn. We chose them because they had a good sense of what we were trying to achieve, and they had a personal touch and solid pricing.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested £13,000 (approximately $16,000 USD) so far. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Brighter Future in September 2022, and the partnership is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

For the first project, we needed to develop a strong brand identity, and Brighter Future helped us build a coherent strategy for what our product represents and who it’s for. They performed far beyond our expectations and did a good job guiding our brand in the right direction. The final deliverable was an extensive presentation deck that acted as our brand worksheet. After the first project, we had so much faith in them that we engaged their services further. 

We’re still working on the final iterations for the UI project, but they’ve delivered usable Adobe XD files that our design team can reference. As for the UX, we haven’t seen any measurable outcomes yet.

How did Brighter Future perform from a project management standpoint?

We trust Brighter Future because they’ve shown us they care about us. They’ve been a responsive, transparent partner, which has enabled us to build a strong interpersonal relationship. They typically deliver results on time, and they set clear expectations regarding their schedule. We communicate via email, Zoom, and WhatsApp. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Brighter Future’s biggest strength is their personal touch; they care about our work. Their responsiveness and availability have shown us that they value our partnership. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, the process is nebulous, but it’s worked well so far. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Hiring Brighter Future is a no-brainer if they treat every client like they treat us. I would recommend their services.
