I am the COO and founder of CryptoRobotics. We develop software for crytpo trading.

What challenge were you trying to address with boto?

They helped us with several development projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The boto team usually does backend solutions for us. They have developed a CRM system, a website, and a registration system. We rely on them to design the interfaces of our bots and sites as well. At one point, they’ve also created personal accounts for our users.

For each project, we provide boto with a list of technical tasks and our vision for what we want to provide to users. Their team then suggests solutions and implements them into efficient, usable software. They usually start with backend development before moving to the frontend. 

At the moment, we are working with boto on developing a Telegram bot that has a CRM system housing the accounts of managers and users. We’re also working on a new platform for buying and selling crypto.

What is the team composition?

For the last three years, we’ve engaged with around 10 people from boto. We are in contact with the founder and have had different project managers over the course of the partnership. Depending on the project, we’ve also interfaced with front- and backend developers. 

How did you come to work with boto?

Our previous marketing team had worked with boto on a project and they recommended them to us.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $50,000–$100,000

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in Q2 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The boto team has developed all of our websites and platforms properly. Their software and CRM solutions have also brought more efficiency to our company. We’ve tested all of the systems together, and boto has always taken care of the inevitable bugs.

How did boto perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re the best company we’ve worked with when it comes to meeting deadlines. Other providers usually make projects last 10 times longer than needed, whereas boto does everything within the necessary timeframe.

We typically communicate via Telegram and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They do all of the tasks on time, and they are very gentle.

No, everything has been okay for us so far.

I am the co-owner of BeCentric Advertising and Communications Agency located in Kyiv Ukraine.

For what projects/services did your company hire boto, and what were your goals?

We were doing an advocacy campaign among small farmers to draw their attention to the issue of safety of their farm produce. An Edutainment tool e.g. a FaceBook chat bot was one of the instruments of the campaign.

A system of automatic replies and consultations for farmers was implemented. The deadlines were tight, but boto took on the project. Initially, the guys provided us with prototypes of the system. After the prototypes were approved, they began to develop the product itself. Everything was coordinated, the manager was always in touch. If I'm not mistaken, the system was developed in php and vuejs.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was very successful and ultimately supported and promoted by the state regulator - the State Service for Consumer Protection. The Head of the Service herself presented the chatbot at a media event which earned outstanding coverage. Over 1000 people have used the chatbot as of today. The campaign is still ongoing.

Communication with the bot team was organized in Telegram, but sometimes they went to the mail when they transferred content or other important information to the guys. I don’t know for sure the style of management, but initially there was an assessment of the project, the agreed terms, an agreement was signed and the development stage itself.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The manager always answered any questions and was always connected. The guys also approached the solution of the problem very professionally: they offered options, helped with the format of the content, and consulted on all the possibilities of the FaceBook Messenger platform.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

You can always do better, and there is no limit to that. The most important thing is that the task is completed.

The challenge was to create a messaging bot for our clients who request services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

boto has created a bot messaging system for us. The main purpose of the bot is to help our clients make digital requests for renting a property.

They’ve also been developing a parking management system similar to a CRM but for internal use only. We can see where the parking area is located and which client is using it. For the development stack, the team uses Laravel, Vue.js, and MySQL. 

What is the team composition?

We work with two people in total: a project manager and a team lead.

How did you come to work with boto?

Our colleagues had also worked with them on a Telegram bot, and they recommended them.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent around $2,000 for the bot and $2,000–$3,000 for the internal parking management system.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in June 2021, and the work is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Using the messaging system has made it more comfortable to connect with our clients. Since it’s automated, we’re able to answer our client’s inquiries at any time. Before that, all of our clients had to call us. Now, we’re also able to use it as a marketing feature, which has been good. 

How did boto perform from a project management standpoint?

The project manager always answers my questions. We’re in contact through Telegram, Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. Overall, they’ve delivered on time and within budget.

It’s been a swift development.

We had a big problem receiving service requests from our customers. Our goal was to simplify, unify and control the submission of all service requests. Together with the boto agency team, we developed the logic of all processes, after which boto agency in a very short time created a wonderful bot for telegram
