What is the scope of their involvement?

BNI Software B.V. provides us with custom software development support. They’ve helped us build a keyless entry-tracking system that can be used on smartphones. They’ve built the solution from scratch and implemented custom features, including Bluetooth. Moreover, the solution works with cloud systems and runs on normal Windows operating systems. They’re using adaptable software for the backend.

What is the team composition?

I work with four people from their side, including UI/UX designers and front- and backend developers.

How did you come to work with BNI Software B.V.?

We were looking for some solutions for location-based cable entrance systems. We had a meeting with them, and they had a great team with a good approach. Hence, we decided to hire them for this project based on those reasons. 

How much have you invested with them?

The budget for this project is about $40,000.

What is the status of the engagement?

Our partnership kicked off in January 2022, and it's still ongoing. The first phase of the project has already been completed.

We’re happy and satisfied with the system they’ve delivered; it’s working properly, and users are happy with it.

Our company is an authorized distributor for a bearing brand. We sell bearings, transmission chains, belts, steel, and some industrial parts to industrial zones in Turkey. I’m the general manager of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with BNI Software B.V.?

We hired BNI to develop a mobile and web cloud app to help us digitize our sales operations. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

BNI developed a cloud-based sales performance tracking tool. Previously, our salesmen had to make reports each day manually. As a result, we needed an app that would digitize the process and make it easy for our team to keep records. The BNI team created this app from scratch. I only provided them with a full customer list, and they put all information in the app.

In terms of features, the app would send me a report whenever a client made an appointment. I’d know how many meetings each salesman had every day, the locations of those meetings, and whether a meeting was finalized with a sale or not. The app could also calculate sales and was made available on iOS and Android devices.

We worked with eight people. My main point of contact was their owner.

I searched for companies on Google and came across their profile.

We invested roughly $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from August–March 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The application improved our business process and increased our customer base — the number of our customers more than doubled. We had all of their data because everything was stored in the cloud. Even when a salesman left our company, we’d still have the data. 

How did BNI Software B.V. perform from a project management standpoint?

BNI met deadlines and stuck with our budget. Their communication was good, and we had online meetings via Zoom. We also used WhatsApp and telephone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism was impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there weren’t any.
