The Boring Crew is a senior AI product team for seed to Series A startups. We design, build and launch AI MVPs, AI features and automations, and we ship them with the parts that keep them working after launch: evaluation suites, monitoring, guardrails and cost dashboards.

What we build:
- AI MVPs and first AI features for SaaS products
- LLM apps, retrieval (RAG) over your documents and data, AI agents and workflow automation
- Fixes for AI features that are slow, expensive or unreliable
- Payments and marketplaces on Stripe Connect, plus the web, backend and cloud work around them

How we work:
Every engagement is fixed scope and fixed price, and a senior engineer leads it from kickoff to production. There's no hand-off to a junior team. Work is written-first, and calls are booked in your time zone. We work remotely with startups in the US, UK, Europe, Canada and Australia.

Ways to start:
- AI Sprint (2 weeks, from $4,900): a working prototype on your data, an eval baseline and a costed build plan. The fee is credited against your build.
- AI MVP (6 weeks, from $24,000): your AI product or first AI feature, launched with evals, monitoring, guardrails and a cost dashboard.
- AI Rescue (3 weeks, from $9,500): we audit your AI feature, fix latency, cost and reliability, and show before-and-after numbers.
- Growth Crew (from $7,500/month): a senior engineer embedded part-time, shipping AI features and automations every sprint.

We're model-agnostic and choose per task on quality, latency and cost: OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini and open-source models, on TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL with pgvector, and AWS.

The Boring Crew was founded in 2025 by Shubham Somani, a principal engineer with about 10 years of production experience in LLM features, Stripe Connect marketplaces and high-traffic consumer apps.
