Beyondi was hired by a digital assets company to design and develop a mobile app. The goal was to implement the agreed features, functionality, and UX, and deliver a fully functional, launch-ready app.
Beyondi failed to deliver the app, making it impossible for the client to launch, test, or operate the product. The team lacked transparency and accountability. The client was also never given access to the source code, development repository, test environment, or a working app build. This review is an update by the client company. Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
The Mendr project was structured as a collaborative venture involving multiple stakeholders. Investors were expected to provide the financial resources required for development, while Beyondi's contribution was represented through development work and technical execution.
The agreed scope included the design, development, and delivery of a fully functional mobile application intended to support community cleanup initiatives. Beyondi was responsible for the technical implementation of the application, including development of the core functionality, user experience, and supporting infrastructure required for launch. The expected deliverable was a completed, production-ready mobile application suitable for public release and ongoing operation.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
No measurable outcomes were achieved. We were never provided access to a working application, source code, development repository, test version, or any functional deliverable. The Mendr mobile application was never completed or delivered, making it impossible to launch, test, or operate the product.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Project management lacked transparency and measurable accountability. Throughout our involvement, we were never provided access to source code, a development repository, a test environment, or a working build of the application. Communication initially took place through email and project channels, but despite repeated requests for updates and evidence of progress, we were never given the ability to verify meaningful development activity. The project was not delivered on time and ultimately was not delivered at all. The final outcome was that no functional version of the Mendr mobile application was provided, making it impossible to launch, test, or operate the product as originally intended.
What was your primary form of communication with Beyondi?

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The company was effective at presenting ideas and communicating the potential of the project during the early stages of the engagement. However, we did not see those expectations reflected in the final outcome.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Beyondi could have done differently?
Beyondi should improve transparency, project accountability, and delivery execution. Clients investing significant time and money into a project should receive measurable progress, access to working deliverables, and ultimately the completed product that was promised. In our case, this did not occur.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
The project scope included the development of a complete web platform, consisting of a public landing website, a logged-in web application with marketplace and user account functionality, and an admin panel for platform management. The goal was a functional, production-ready system delivered within 3–6 months.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
There were no measurable outcomes that demonstrated success. The project resulted in a largely non-functional platform, extended business disruption, a revenue drop of approximately 75%, and significant financial loss.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Project management was extremely poor and disorganized. Deliverables were not provided on time, and the original 3–6 month timeline was exceeded by many months.
Communication was inconsistent and often unreliable. We frequently received vague or contradictory updates, long periods of silence, and explanations that later proved to be inaccurate. Important decisions were delayed, and there was no clear project ownership or accountability.
The appointed project manager lacked the technical and product understanding required for the role. Issues were often dismissed rather than addressed, testing was not properly conducted, and reported problems were minimized instead of resolved.
Our needs and concerns were not handled proactively. Critical issues required repeated follow-ups from our side, and many fixes only happened after significant pressure or escalation. Overall, the project required substantial hands-on involvement from us to compensate for missing structure, testing, and leadership on the vendor’s side.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their initial communication and presentation were convincing, which created a sense of confidence at the start of the engagement.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Beyondi could have done differently?
Beyondi could have significantly improved their performance by being honest about their capabilities and project readiness from the start. Clearer communication, realistic timelines, and transparent reporting would have prevented many of the issues we experienced.
Stronger technical leadership and qualified project management were clearly needed. A project of this complexity requires a manager who understands both the technical and product side, enforces proper QA, and takes responsibility for delivery instead of dismissing issues.
Finally, the project should not have been pushed live in an unfinished state. Delivering agreed functionality before launch, respecting contractual scope, and prioritizing the client’s business stability over short-term financial interests would have fundamentally changed the outcome.
