Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the CEO of a company that uses help desk software to build support platforms for small businesses. We utilize tools like Zendesk and Freshworks, which offer various kinds of help desk software. We also do some implementation and consulting.

What challenge were you trying to address with Barad Marketing Solutions?

Things were moving slowly for our company so we wanted to expedite the process. We needed more client exposure with small online businesses and startups as they would be the most suited to use our services. We reached out to Barad Marketing to help us market ourselves to those types of businesses.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I'm not a marketer myself so I don't know the specifics of what they did, but Dan (CEO) created PPC ads for us. He also did some split-testing during the first few months to see which ads were reaching the right people. We determined where to best place our money in order to get the best ROI.

What is the team composition?

Dan supervised the project but I’m not certain how many people were involved in the background.

How did you come to work with Barad Marketing Solutions?

Barad Marketing was referred to us by a friend. When I talked to Dan, he gave me a few pointers on how he reached his own clientele. I thought he was a good fit for our needs and decided to hire him after that discussion.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $3,000–$7,000 USD.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2021 and our collaboration ran until August 2021. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It all worked out pretty well. Once we figured out where to best place our money, we started to see an ROI within 2–3 months. When the ads got better targeted, lead generation started to cost less money.

We started getting more interested parties as well, securing between 3–5 clients. Though not everyone we reached was a right fit for our services, we still ultimately got more client exposure through Barad Marketing’s work.

How did Barad Marketing Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Dan was very straightforward with me from the very beginning, telling me how long the process, including the discovery stage, typically takes. Once he got a good idea of our business, he was able to find the best possible way for us to reach potential clients.

We touched base once or twice a month to discuss what he was doing, the progress of our ads, and the billings. Whenever I tried to reach him, he was always quick to reply and schedule a meeting without any issues. He was very attentive to our needs and was always able to make himself available in a way that worked for both of us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Previous vendors that we had worked with provided only vague details, but Dan was transparent from the get-go and presented everything in a very understandable way. He was much more to-the-point and fairly priced than our past service providers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don't think there's anything that Dan could've done better. We had a very pleasant experience. The timeframe he presented in the beginning pretty much held true, so there were no surprises. I think he delivered what any client like myself would hope to see from a marketing agency. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do a little bit of your own research about marketing, specifically about PPC, so that you know exactly what you're getting into before you do it. Barad Marketing focuses mainly on PPC advertising, so it would definitely benefit you to know more about it.
