I’m the owner of Starfish Therapies, a pediatric physical therapy company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with babaLucas Creative?

They revamped our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They did both design and development on our WordPress site. There might have been some Jetpack work as well. They made our graphics look modern and eliminated some circuitous links and changes I’d made earlier by myself. They also added forms for patients to fill out, as well as payment capabilities. As a separate project, Rob (Founder, babaLucas Creative) transitioned our email from Yahoo to Office 365, saving all our emails.

What is the team composition?

Rob worked on everything.  

How did you come to work with babaLucas Creative?

I’ve known Rob forever. We’ve talked over the years, and this timing worked. Our previous person was extremely hard to get a hold of, and I knew I’d get timely responses from babaLucas. It was a no brainer.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $3,000–$4,000 on the website, and we now have an annual maintenance fee of around $500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

He does what we ask, and I make sure things are working. If the links aren’t working or were not receiving documents we should be, I’ll contact Rob and he’ll fix it.

How did babaLucas Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They got the project done and communicated, showing me the steps and taking my feedback in. They were good with timelines too.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness and communication are the best. My biggest pet peeve is not being able to get a hold of people.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This wasn’t a problem for me, but they might get distracted if they have too many balls in the air. However, they communicated about timelines, and if I said something needed to be done they’d get it done.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Bring up expectations ahead of time and work together to figure out your communication style. Be clear with specific deadlines as well so they can let you know about feasibility.
