Got it. That reframes the scope answer. This was a website page redesign, not the app design-system work in the RFP. Here's a corrected version that matches what Báchoo actually built: Báchoo redesigned our public website to bring it in line with our new brand and to support the way we'd grown as a company. The work ran across two stages over roughly two months and covered the full site rather than a handful of pages.

The pages delivered included:

• Core positioning pages: Homepage, Product, and Employees
• Company and proof pages: Our Story, Case Studies, individual case pages, and Contact
• Content system: Blog and article layouts built to support new and varied content
• Product explainer pages: Job Simulations, Pathways, Skills Translator, Benefits Bank, and Transition Dictionary

Project management was solid throughout. The work was structured into two clear stages with defined pages in each, and Báchoo delivered on schedule at every point. Revisions were handled in structured rounds that moved from high-level direction to detailed refinement to final polish, so feedback never got lost and we always knew where things stood.

Communication was straightforward and responsive. When we raised changes or new needs, they were picked up quickly and reflected in the next round. The staged approach meant we could review in manageable chunks instead of getting a single large handover at the end.

The design quality was the standout. What impressed me most was that they didn't just apply our brand mechanically across a set of pages, they made it feel considered on every one. We wanted to refresh our brand ahead of launching a new product—a collaborative cookbook. This meant making our logo more web-friendly, expanding our color palette to balance nostalgia with a more modern look, refining typography for better readability, and creating fresh book cover designs. The team delivered on all of this while also providing great strategic design advice that helped elevate our brand.

I’m the brand manager at TSM, an esports organization that runs competitive esports teams, games, and more.

What challenge were you trying to address with Bachoo?

We were badly in need of updating our website. Our existing one was out of date in terms of design, appeal, and information. When we tried to update the site, it was a mess because its system wasn’t easy to update. We encountered a number of issues with that, especially in terms of keeping our sponsors and fans up to date on what was going on inside the organization. Our team understood that we needed to fix our brand and website, so we hired Bachoo. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bachoo revamped our website through WordPress. We started by putting together all the key design elements that we wanted to include in the website. Once those elements were put together, the team helped us layout the website and confirm the designs and content that needed to be in it. From there, they started developing the website. 

To elaborate, our designers used Figma, so we asked Bachoo to use it, too. Our in-house designers put together the initial site designs that followed our brand guidelines. They put together a few pages to give the Bachoo team a sample of what the site should look like. From there, Bachoo worked on several iterations and updates for those initial pages. 

So far, we’ve been developing the site over the last six weeks. We’re near the final stages. In terms of features and functionality, the site is quite plain and simple. It features all of our talent, along with various content. It consists of classic corporate pages, such as an about us page. 

Beyond that, the site is designed to give our fans updates on what’s going on in the esports world and our team. We deliver big news about our brand sponsorships through there. Bachoo has included many cool design elements to the site, but our leadership has chosen to keep it clean for our fans. 

Moreover, we run 12 esports teams across four continents, so there are always updates on roster changes and tournament news. Given that, Bachoo has created a reporting system that automatically shows all events in a specific format on the website. This system also automatically updates via Google Calendar. 

On top of that, they’ve also created a feature where we can import all of our job listings to the website. We also have a special Excel sheet for all of our media. Instead of going to WordPress to manually update our media all the time, we can simply drop the media into the Excel sheet, which then automatically updates the website. Overall, Bachoo has worked to make it easier for us to keep the website updated. 

How did you come to work with Bachoo?

Bachoo was recommended to us by someone. I was put on the project right after they got hired, so I wasn’t directly involved in the hiring process. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $25,000–$30,000 in total. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the engagement in November 2021, but we didn’t get started on the work until January 2022. 

Bachoo’s work is technically finished, but we’re still adding a couple of big rosters and teams. As a result, we’ve asked them to hide the website first until we finalize our announcement.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

All of our leadership members are thrilled with the website — they love it. All the esports teams and team managers also love it because of how easy it is for them to update their rosters. Beyond them, all of our coordinators, marketing people, and social teams are enamored with it because it helps them keep things up to date and clean. Our PR team is also happy with it. 

Overall, we’re extremely satisfied with Bachoo’s work. We’re impressed with their ability to work amid the conflict surrounding the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. They’re based in Ukraine, and we’ve been worried when the war started. However, they’ve only asked us to give them a couple of days to resettle, and then they’ve continued working on the site. 

We’ve offered to pay for the project and transfer it to another developer, but they’ve insisted on finishing it since we’ve paid for it. The team has worked through the conflict, internet connectivity issues, and everything else just to complete the project quickly. 

How did Bachoo perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through Zoom or Google Meet twice per week, sometimes more frequently and sometimes less. Bachoo always responds quickly. In terms of timing and execution, they’re often willing to work for us outside of their normal work hours.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Bachoo’s strong point is their flexibility and work ethic. We’re an organization of young people, and everybody in our team has something to say or wants to make various changes. Teams sometimes have conflicting preferences. As a result, we’ve made changes along the way. From a developer’s standpoint, that can be frustrating. However, Bachoo has been extremely patient with us throughout the entire process. They’re always fast to make changes, and they always work hard. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. They’ve exceeded our expectations across the board. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be on point when communicating with Bachoo. They’re consistent when it comes to communicating with you, but they can only make changes based on what you want. If you’re not giving them good feedback and don’t work closely with them, it’s hard to expect them to create exactly what you want. 

A lot of factors are involved in a development project in terms of design, execution, copy, and other things. As a result, you have to work with the team closely; you can’t simply give them everything, walk away, and expect the project to turn out the way you want.

What was the scope of their involvement?

In the beginning, Bachoo showed us some references that resembled what we were looking for in terms of visual impact. From there, we jumped into the development. We had tight deadlines, so we broke the work down into three smaller phases. They developed the first functional version of the website in 10 days, and they worked during the weekends to design its mobile version. 

At present, we’re doing a quick revamp for the website on Figma. We don’t have any branding guidelines for them, so it’s been hard for them to match our look and feel. However, they’re revamping the website’s design to make its branding stronger, essentially giving us branding design services. 

Moving forward, we’ll develop the second version of the website based on the structure of the designs they’ll submit. Later on, they’ll develop 3D animation for us.

I work closely with their project manager, but if I have a question or idea, their colleagues will chime in immediately. In total, I’ve worked with eight people from their team, including a salesperson, their founder, and their designers. 

How did you come to work with Bachoo?

Since we wanted something impressive, I searched for award winners. I sent emails to 5–6 award-winning teams, and Bachoo was the second or third team to respond. I liked how quickly they responded to me because we had a truly tight timeline. They were also helpful and responsive in terms of providing cost estimates. Everything was so clear, so I decided to hire them.

So far, we’ve spent $4,000 on the first version of the website, which is 50% of the total cost. We've also invested $2,500 on their branding design services. Since we’ve broken down the project into phases, we’ve settled on two sets of prepayment for the website and the branding design.

Bachoo’s project management is extraordinary, and I’m personally impressed by their responsiveness. They quickly come up with detailed plans and timelines, which help me make quick decisions on our next steps. Meanwhile, we communicate on Slack. If I have a question and ask them if we can have a Zoom call, they can arrange it within 30 minutes.

Other providers cannot adjust to our timelines in the way that Bachoo does. We’ve asked the team to design a website from scratch, and they’ve accomplished it within 10 days even without any brand guidelines.

We looked at 5 other companies and chose Bachoo because of their creative flair and technological know how.

After some initial design concept meetings, the team at Bachoo presented different approaches to the design with mood boards and layout styles. We chose the direction we wanted to go in and the design team started work creating wireframes.

After this we all agreed on the overall layout and functionality. The tech team then started work on connecting everything together. The project was finished within a couple of months.

Initially we had 3 people from the CEO to business development and business managers. Then when the project started we had a designated project manager and a couple of design and tech members.

I’m the head of organization at LANG UK, an NGO working on natural language processes (NLP) for the Ukrainian language. Our mission is to prepare as many deliverables, models, and data. Local businesses and universities can then use these to do related work. We wanted to revamp our website to make the products we created available to our end users. We wanted to present it cleanly and concisely, and we wanted it to be detailed. Our website is the face of our initiative, and we wanted to make it as lovely and slick as possible.

Báchoo revamped our website. On our first meeting, they prepared by analyzing all of our presence in media and social media. They found some of our interviews and articles to help them understand what we were doing. Then, we described our goals and what we wanted to improve.

They then redesigned our website and continue to maintain it. Before we move forward with each step, we have a call where they present us with options and pros and cons. The purpose of our site is to help us talk to our users through our site and describe our products and services.

They’re an excellent choice. The project isn’t launched yet, but everything has been perfect so far. I like Báchoo’s approach; it’s easy to work with them.

How did Báchoo perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management has been quite good. We have biweekly calls, which we schedule after they propose timeslots. The purpose of our meetings is to talk about our options. Usually, these sessions take 1–2 hours before we can move forward. The team listens very carefully to my feedback, but they also bring their ideas. Our emails are always carefully recorded through minutes, which we exchange via email along with feedback. They also prepare excellent presentations for every call. 

Additionally, we also communicate through Telegram to coordinate meetings. Eventually, we plan on meeting in person if needed. However, we’re content with our current modes of communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Báchoo pays close attention to detail. They’re also proactive and don’t waste time with random options — each option they present is well-thought-out and backed up by reason. Finally, I appreciated how prepared they were for our first meeting. It was an insightful approach that allowed us to save time on explaining our goals.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s a need for them to improve. One downside is that some team members had to go on vacation, which slowed the process down. However, I was completely aware that this would happen, so I’m still a satisfied customer.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Prepare a detailed one-pager and attach as many materials about your project as you can. They’ll definitely read, listen, and watch them. Additionally, be open-minded; they can give you a unique point of view. You’ll be surprised about the ideas they come up with.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and CEO of a medical startup. We’re a platform that helps with the diagnosis and holistic treatment of patients with irritable bowel syndrome.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Bachoo Design Studio?

We’re an early-stage startup, but we’ve brought them in as our first web and mobile UI/UX design resource. We wanted someone who could grow with our organization. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’ve done wireframes and UI/UX work in conjunction with our in-house frontend developer. Right now, they’re working in React to help us with a web self-assessment that will produce a risk score based on several conditions that a patient could be suffering from. We haven’t rolled out the MVP for this product yet, but it should be ready within a few weeks. Outside of this project, they’ve also helped with splash pages built in Webflow.

What is the team composition?

I’m working with one designer and one project manager.

How did you come to work with Bachoo Design Studio?

I met Elena (Founder, Owner, & Chief of Production) and another member of their team when I was in a previous position. At that time, I was impressed with their body of work as well as their willingness to work with early-stage startups. Knowing this about them, I was happy to bring them in on this project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $1,000 and $10,000 on their services so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve worked together since March 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we’re in such an early stage of the engagement, their response rate to my team’s inquiries is the most important metric so far. They’ve been very responsive, which helps the engagement run smoothly in a remote working environment. We often hear from them within minutes.

How did Bachoo Design Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been flexible in accommodating our time zone differences. It almost feels like we’re working in the same location. We communicate via Slack and Figma.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team is well-suited to work with early-stage startups, which is rare in their industry. They have a great understanding of how design fits into frontend development. Their team has a great eye for good, responsive design.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’ve done great with the project overall, but the onboarding process could have gone better. Being a startup, though, I think we expected too great of a degree of speed in this area.

If you’re an early-stage startup and you want design assistance, having a clear set of expectations for your work with them is crucial. They’re trying to maneuver resources across multiple projects, so knowing your needs will help them help you.
