We got the application developed, tested and release on time. Also, the overall process of working with Axles was a pleasure. On top of that, users are satisfied with the app - this is the most important feedback I think

They performed well. The communication is smooth, the team is responsible in terms of planning and execution. They do not hesitate to inform if something goes wrong which is very important as for me. The team was friendly, which made a positive impact on the process overall. The toolset is pretty wide - Jira, Confluence, Slack

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

For sure it is their technical expertise. Axles manages to tackle some non trivial tasks. The limitation for this project was that the application will mistly be ran on devices with small amount of RAM and limited internet connection. Axles handled all these limitations so that user experience was not affected

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Just wish them growing and gathering talented people to build nice products

We’ve gained about 20 new customers since launching the website that Axles developed.

How did Axles perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great from a project management perspective as they diligently listened to our needs and implemented what we asked them to do.

They were also very helpful in bringing new ideas and recommendations to improve our product and make it even more user-friendly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with how quickly they responded to our concerns and how they were able to complete their tasks on time. I also liked that they shared their knowledge and creative ideas for the project.

I don’t have any constructive feedback for Axles.

What challenge were you trying to address with Axles?

We hired Axles to develop our mobile application.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Axles developed a cross-platform mobile application that uses AI to plan training programs that can be used at home or in a gym. Users could create their profile and enter information about their gender, age, height, and weight on the app. The AI then used the user’s profile information to adapt training programs that users could follow. Axles’ team designed the app based on our color and framework preferences, adding gamification features to encourage user retention. They also built the app architecture. After we finalized the design, Axles developed the app.

Since the app launched and Axles has provided technical support — they update the video content we stream via Amazon’s video platform. Also, their team updates the app’s features to ensure they work with every Apple and Google software system update. Axles provides marketing consultancy services as well, providing advice on how to promote our app across multiple platforms.

We’ve worked with a project manager and a designer.

We looked at development companies in America and Ukraine with experience developing fitness-related mobile applications. We found five companies across Ukraine and the Czech Republic that could fit our needs, but we hired Axles. We’d already worked with them on another project at a different company.

We’ve invested over $25,000 with Axles.

Our engagement with Axles began in June 2018, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I can’t provide any specific metrics because a lot of the app’s success relies on our marketing efforts. However, I’m very satisfied with Axles’ work. They’re very supportive and address bugs and negative user feedback within 24 hours. We haven’t had many technical issues recently, but we did have some after the initial release. 

How did Axles perform from a project management standpoint?

Axles has perfect communication through Microsoft Teams, Telegram, and phone calls. We’ve had biweekly meetings during the development process, but now we primarily relay questions through our project management tool, Trello, or the project manager. We also use Trello to process support tickets, which our entire team had access to. Their pricing is also very good, which is why we continue to work with them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Axles always provides excellent options that solve any problem we have or meet any goal that we’ve set — their options are often delineated by audience type. I appreciate that they always test solutions and compile user feedback. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing specific for Axles to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d advise customers to build out their goals and explain them clearly to Axles’ developers.

We are Federation of Strongman of Ukraine. since 2012 we have been holding a large number of strongman sports competitions. we identified the need for an operational system for determining the score in competitions. this allows you to do it quickly and reliably.

At the first stage, we formed a database of standard types of strongman competitions and criteria for their evaluation. in the second stage we developed an algorithm for scoring. in the third stage, we developed a program interface and additional user features.

we have been actively using our program Allstrongman at competitions in Ukraine since 2019. we are also being tested for international competitions.

communication with partners is very easy and efficient. all comments and problematic issues are quickly resolved. once a month we hold working meetings to improve the existing program.

The company's unique feature was their high competence in sports and fitness.

we do everything together. therefore, we also improve the implementation of the program together. everything is fine!

The website looks professional and is highly informative. I’m impressed with how user-friendly it is and how well-performing its features are. I strongly believe that my website sets me apart from my competitors.

How did Axles perform from a project management standpoint?

Axles performed very well in terms of project management. We communicated through Skype, Google Meet, Viber, Telegram, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with Axles’ professionalism, patience, and efficiency. I admit that I wasn’t the perfect client — I asked for a lot of things and I always complained, but they were very accommodating, patient, and helpful throughout.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they could have done better — I’m very happy with the results of this project.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Axles is currently developing our website and our iOS and Android app. They’ve recommended that I create an Amazon profile because they’ve bought memory space for my website, and that’s what I’ve done.

Although sales and marketing aren’t their focus, we’ve also enlisted their help once we reach that stage. We’ve decided to do everything without the help of a designer, but we might hire one once we’ve launched the website and people have become more familiar with our company.

I have worked with two people so far. The head of Axles introduced me to their company, told me about their process, and connected me with the person who will be developing the website. That developer is now working jointly with specialists from my own team.

The project began in November 2021 and is still ongoing.

We have a call with them each month where they present what they have done. Thus far, there haven’t been any issues at all. We are new in this area, so we’re not very technically knowledgeable, but Axles lets us know about any problems we may face later on. They create a plan to mitigate it and provide tons of technical information that can help with avoiding future difficulties.

How did Axles perform from a project management standpoint?

We can review the results of their work and provide feedback if needed. In that regard, our communication has been great. We correspond through Skype and WhatsApp, but we discuss critical matters over phone calls. I have also visited their offices twice before the Russian Invasion.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think it’s pretty impressive how we haven’t run into any issues so far.

No, we haven’t faced any problems so far.

I would recommend that you work with Axles. They’re a very nice team, and they feel like a small family. Everyone speaks to and cooperates closely with each other.

What challenge were you trying to address with Axles?

We had a client requesting an MVP of a mobile app they wanted to be built. Our experience in mobile development is limited, so we needed to hire a partner.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built an MVP for vendors and vacation goers. It’s an app for vacation rentals for beach experiences. It is basically a fully working product and has payment integration. There is search, browsing, and booking services on different islands and beaches in the Caribbean. 

They used Swift, and Swipe for payment integration. They also built web dashboards for the client.

We interacted with Mikailo (Owner), and two of his mobile developers – one junior and one senior.

How did you come to work with Axles?

We knew Mikailo from a previous business, and we felt he was the best fit. He is experienced with larger projects and had the capability to meet all the requirements.

We worked together from March 2019 – September 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The client was very satisfied with the product, which is the biggest success metric. They had test users, who also gave positive feedback, and they referred another client to us. 

How did Axles perform from a project management standpoint?

They did very well. We used Slack and Trello, including the client in the threads. Everything was tested before being presented to the client. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their technical experience and skill level are much higher than average, allowing them to build efficiently, and in a way that is scalable. Their code is clean and easy to work with, and everything is well documented.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about your goals. They will translate that into a technical concept, or very easily create a blueprint of the required technologies, in order to achieve that goal. They can handle complex projects and are well-versed in the latest technologies.

Our company received a complex request for a Video recording processing platform that we couldn`t handle alone, so we decided to create a mixed team with Axles. Axles was responsible for developing a hybrid app based on Flutter and delivered a shooting and video processing application with options for adjusting resolution and frame rate. 

They also developed functionality for processing recorded videos, such as trimming, cropping, applying filters, adding text overlays, and integrating special effects. They followed all the requirements and did their job perfectly.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Code quality. After the independent code review, we`ve been told that the technical potential of growing our app is high; 
• On-time delivery; - The percentage of users utilizing the app after release is higher than the customer waited for;
