I’m the CTO of a custom food and beverage manufacturing company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with AutomateXLab?

We needed help improving the overall automation and production efficiency of our manufacturing processes. One of our main goals was to reduce manual work in some production processes and improve monitoring across the plant floor.We were also looking for support in making the workflow smoother and more reliable, especially around machine communication, process tracking, and reducing unexpected downtime during production. Another objective was to understand how we could modernize some parts of our existing setup without completely changing everything.

What was the scope of their involvement?

AutomateXLab handled a mix of automation consulting, workflow improvement, and system-level guidance for our food and beverage manufacturing operations. The scope of work mainly focused on understanding our existing production setup, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending practical automation improvements that could help us run operations more smoothly.Some of the main deliverables included automation recommendations, workflow optimization inputs, process improvement suggestions, and support around creating a more reliable and scalable production environment.

We found them through a referral. We chose them because they were close to our geographic location, their pricing fit our budget, and they offered good value for the cost.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One of the main outcomes we noticed after working with AutomateXLab was better visibility into our production workflows and smoother coordination between different operational processes. We were able to reduce some manual dependency in daily operations and improve overall process consistency across certain manufacturing activities.We also saw improvements in identifying workflow bottlenecks, reducing unnecessary downtime, and making production monitoring more organized. The recommendations and automation improvements helped create a more stable operational setup that can scale better as production grows.We noticed roughly a 20%–25% reduction in manual operational work in a few production areas. We also experienced an estimated 15% improvement in production monitoring efficiency and around a 10%–15% reduction in unplanned downtime related to process coordination issues.Most of the improvements were sustained even after the project ended. We continued seeing better workflow visibility, smoother production coordination, and reduced manual involvement in some operational areas over time.

How did AutomateXLab perform from a project management standpoint?

AutomateXLab managed the project professionally with clear communication and regular updates throughout the process. Most deliverables were completed on time, and the team was responsive whenever we needed support or adjustments. Overall, the project coordination was smooth and well managed.We communicated via virtual meetings, email, and a messaging app.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impressed us most was their practical understanding of real industrial operations instead of just giving generic automation advice. They understood the challenges in food and beverage manufacturing and provided solutions that were realistic, scalable, and easy to apply in day-to-day operations.Their communication was also very smooth, and the team was supportive throughout the project. We appreciated that they focused on solving actual operational problems rather than overcomplicating things with unnecessary technical jargon.
