I am a project manager for Global Data Systems LLC. Our company focuses on developing solutions for businesses, including automation systems, web ­services, and mobile applications. We have successfully partnered with and supported many customers.

For what projects/services did your company hire Wave 909?

Our customer had an outdated mobile application for their retail business. We hired Wave909 to make significant updates to the application.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to increase the functionality of the mobile application, change its design, and improve its usability. We also wanted to publish it on both Google Play and the App Store.

We got to know Vadim (Founder and Frontend Developer, Wave909) and his team by personal recommendation.

Describe the project in detail.

The existing application was not well-designed for updates, so Wave909 developed the new app almost from scratch for both Android and iOS, building both platforms on React Native. We had a number of iterations and we’re still working. They defined requirements and worked with our client, implementing features and preparing for launch. They integrated online product ordering and payment processing, notifications, and other features.

What was the team composition?

I have only communicated with Vadim, who presented the design layouts and implementation results. We also discussed the problems that we faced while testing with him.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Their work has increased the app’s value and reliability. They satisfied all of our internal client’s requirements so far, and that client wants to continue working together. We can tell they delivered high-quality work based on our internal testing process. Our QA found very few bugs.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their workflow was clear and established, and it was easy to meet our deadlines working together. Vadim was always available on-call, so I have only pleasant impressions from our work.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They’re fast, they consider problems thoughtfully, and they’re young at heart.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They could use more experience, and I expect they’ll get it with more projects.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The goal was to review the whole mobile product - development processes, technical platform, code, everything - to figure out what should we improve and what additional steps should we do to achieve our company goals in terms of mobile product.

As a result we received a batch of pull requests with improvements, 20 pages of recommendations - very specifiс. Even more guys proposed a solution to reuse code in both mobile and web platforms, so their expertise in react and react native is very strong!

I’m the CEO of a startup located in Germany. We focus on ambient assisted living (AAL) systems for elderly and disabled people.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wave 909?

We were looking to revitalize some of the technical features that we needed for our products. We wanted to break with old patterns of thinking and implement new strategies quickly.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Vadim (Founder, Wave 909) consulted with our software and hardware teams and proposed several approaches to solving our issues. He also liaised with some of our parts manufacturers. Wave 909 succeeded in overcoming the difficulties that we faced.

Vadim was our project manager, and he handled everything from their end.

How did you come to work with Wave 909?

We’d worked with Vadim on a previous project when he was working for a different company. When he left that firm to start his own, we remembered our positive experience with him and contacted Wave 909 for support.

We’re satisfied with the results so far, and we plan to perform a field test in the summer of 2019.

Due to their vast knowledge and expertise, Wave 909 was able to guide us through complex problems. I was also impressed with their ability to communicate with teams from different industries.
