Attewell Clews & Cooper traces its origins back to the early 1940s when the two separate practices of Mr. Suckling and Mr. Barry were amalgamated. Suckling and Barry were joined in the early 1950s by Mr Osborne who retired from the firm in 1984. Peter Attewell and Stephen Clews have been leading the firm together for the last 30 years.
We are a proud founding member of NZ Law Limited, an association of around 60 independent legal practices located throughout New Zealand. Member firms work together to benefit their clients by replicating the sharing of ideas and expertise that occurs in larger law firms, while still retaining their own independence and client confidentiality.
