What was the scope of their involvement?

Astro Creative strictly does high-end video production for my company. We start each project with a discussion about the requirements, key features, and unique specifications of a house, and once that’s done, they’ll come up with a shot list and organize a story for the film.

They then go into the production for part of a day, edit the videos, and send the final product to us for approval.

We mainly work with Jason and Alex (Co-Founders & Producers).

Our partnership started in February 2019, and I’m still using their services for all my listings videos.

Our videos get a lot of positive feedback on our social media platforms, and I’ve had interested buyers come to me after seeing them.

We’ve also seen a lot of engagement on our ads because the videos are entertaining and educational to watch.

Astro Creative Company did video production for us, from preproduction to filming and editing. They also got involved in the creative process, including storyboard and visual development for our clients —it was live in-person material that went from business promo to brand storytelling.

We met them at a business networking event through mutual friends. After following their content on Instagram, I had them at the top of my head when I needed a provider for video work.

I was impressed with the level of professional equipment they had, including RED cameras and other types of gear that we wouldn’t typically find with other providers.

Apart from their user-friendly approach to project management, what I found particularly noteworthy is their attention to detail.

Everything they do in the production has been extremely professional, so I’m confident they will always deliver an excellent product.

There isn’t a video production company in the Detroit area that’s more efficient than Astro Creative, so I suggest giving them a shot to work with you.

I put together the timeline and plan, and they’ve executed based on my vision. Depending on the project, they’ve provided video editing, storyboarding, and audio mixing. They’ve used their own equipments throughout our partnership.

The speed and flexibility of Astro Creative’s work is impressive. They’re very focused on the task at hand and have a great attitude — they’re fun to have on set. In addition, they are creative when it comes to shot selection.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

They can get a wider range of gear and offer more choices for lens, lighting equipment, and stabilizers. That said, whenever I need something, they’ve been able to get it.

I am the academic director of the MSMR Program at the Broad College of Business, Michigan State University.

We needed to create some high-quality promotional videos for our MS Program in Marketing Research. The videos need to communicate the specifics of the program in an exciting and engaging way.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had worked with Astro Creative previously and found them to be responsive to what we wanted, yet able to provide creative ideas.

We met with them to lay out the objectives for the videos. They came back with outlines for us to revise. They had some really good ideas that we were able to use. They then did the filming and post-production work. We then reviewed the videos and they made revisions based on our feedback. The final product was outstanding!

Not really, the whole process of working with them was great. We are in the process of working with them on the next project.

I founded Team Fox Detroit to help bring awareness of Parkinson's disease to the Metro Detroit area. Team Fox Detroit provides the opportunity for those affected with PD, their families, friends and loved ones to be part of finding a cure.

To capture our events and personal stories of those living with PD and their caregivers.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I worked on a video production with Astro and loved their work ethic, style and proffessionalism.

We started off with a meeting to discuss and outline the event. Depending on the type of event, a schedule and timeline was created and executed. Working together in the editing process was easy and fun to create the vision for our event.

I worked with both Jason and Alex, they were both helpful in putting our vision on film. The final versions were completed when promised and shared in google docs for us to use when ready.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We shared our videos on social media as advertisements for our upcoming events, as well as, during the event itself. These videos helped generate a larger audience of supporters and donors at our events.

It was easy to communicate with both Alex and Jason. They provided updates on the status of the project via email or phone call. If there were any changes or glitches they would tell us ahead of time so we could discuss it.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had never met anyone with Parkinson's disease before, especially so young. Learning about the disease and getting to know so many people, they were able to capture the spirit those living with YOPD and PD to help them share their story.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I am so happy to have met them when I did. Working with them, I feel like we grew together as a family.
