Our Mission

Via Arts is a liberation consulting practice driven to develop and nurture radial relationships. We seek to enhance the holistic well-being of the community, alongside those around us. It is our belief that through arts infused programming we can both break systems of oppression and move closer to a structurally care-centered world.

Liberation lens meaning we are always aware of how race, class, gender, body shape, sexual orientation, gender expression, and all facets of identity are working within a space. We strive to be anti-racist with an intersectional perspective. It is our belief that many oppressive structures stem from a learned anti-blackness and an effort to enforce a generalized assimilation. We call this a liberation lens because, as adrienne maree brown say, “what you pay attention to grows.” We desire not only to be anti-oppressive, but to grow the conditions necessary for a liberated world.

Our Purpose

Via Arts is fertilizer.
We are not the water.
We are not the plant.
We are the extra minerals needed to begin and sustain a progression towards something better.
A community with deep roots, healthy soil, not just surviving its environment,
But thriving in it.
