Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The engagement has evolved into a long-term strategic engineering partnership spanning multiple phases of our product's growth. 

The initial scope involved collaborating with our internal team to design and deliver our MVP, enabling us to validate the platform with early customers. Following a successful launch, the team played a key role in expanding the platform into our first commercial release, introducing new functionality, improving the underlying architecture and supporting production deployments. 

As the business scaled, the scope broadened significantly. Working closely with our product and engineering leadership, they helped deliver a large number of new capabilities across the platform, including AI-powered workflows, third-party API integrations, workflow automation, customer onboarding, document generation, payments, security, performance optimisation and infrastructure improvements. They also supported the platform's evolution to meet increasing customer demand, ensuring it remained scalable, reliable and maintainable. 

Most recently, they have been instrumental in the design and development of our next-generation platform (V2), helping to modernise the architecture, improve the user experience and establish a foundation for future growth. 

Throughout the engagement, they have taken ownership of the technical delivery within their remit while collaborating effectively with our internal product, engineering and leadership teams. Their ability to adapt as the product and business have evolved has made them a trusted long-term development partner.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As with many early-stage startups, it is difficult to attribute specific commercial outcomes (e.g. revenue growth or sales uplift) to a single partner or project. Arktik have been a part of our journey all along and, since beginning of this partnership, our startup has grown approximately 400% year-on-year, evolved from an MVP into a full commercial platform, and successfully raised investment twice. Our technology has been a key enabler in supporting this growth, scalability and continued product development.

Their project management has been exceptional. They have consistently delivered with absolute punctuality, strong communication and a level of accountability that is rare to find in a development partner. 

Despite operating in the fast-moving environment of a startup, where requirements often evolve and specifications are not always fully defined, they have consistently taken ownership, worked independently and found practical solutions. They do not simply execute tasks; they think alongside us, challenge assumptions and proactively identify better approaches. 

Their work ethic and reliability make them feel like an extension of our own team rather than an external supplier. They are highly adaptable, continuously keep up with modern technologies and best practices, and bring a forward-looking approach to product and engineering decisions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What makes them unique is that they are the ideal technology partner for a small, highly focused team that needs to move quickly while being disciplined with resources. They understand the realities of building a startup and operate much more like a co-founder or internal team member than a traditional development supplier.

Their commitment, ownership and work ethic are exceptional. They consistently go above and beyond to deliver high-quality outcomes, including supporting urgent needs outside standard hours when required. They are true problem-solvers who take initiative, find solutions independently and bring the determination and adaptability needed to build in a fast-moving environment.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Arktik could have done differently?

We have been extremely satisfied with Arktik's performance and have no significant areas of concern to highlight. 

As with any long-term partnership on a fast-moving startup product, there are always opportunities to continue improving processes as the team and platform scale. For example, introducing even more structured documentation and long-term technical planning would be beneficial as the product becomes increasingly complex. 

However, these are natural challenges of building and scaling a technology platform, rather than shortcomings in their delivery. Their responsiveness, ownership and commitment have consistently exceeded our expectations.
