I’m the CEO of Aruta on Demand; we’re a nationwide notary signing company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Arkotech Corporation?

We needed support building the on-demand notary web application, which includes location tracking and a booking process.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Arkotech Corporation built our online notary system, which allows notaries to sign-up and notarize documents for users on-demand. Their team developed the platform using Apache and Java with React-overlays. Based in Google Cloud Platform, the team enabled Google Location APIs in addition to Uber and Lyft APIs. We’re still making changes to optimize the final product.

How did you come to work with Arkotech Corporation?

A colleague highly recommended Arkotech Corporation when we were looking for help on a technical solution to support the platform’s progress. Since the first time I met the project manager, their team has been doing a fantastic job.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $40,000 for their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in February 2019, and it’s been an ongoing collaboration. Although their contract is at its fifth completion, we’re still making changes because their team wants to guarantee our satisfaction.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their efforts have allowed us to actually move forward with clients who’ve been waiting for the booking style we’ve been trying to achieve for a long time. The platform Arkotech Corporation has built improved not only the number of clients but also our online traffic. Our platform has been experiencing increased use. There’s also been greater interest in features, which I plan to build out with Arkotech Corporation sometime in the future. Their team has been quick, and their services have been inexpensive.

How did Arkotech Corporation perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve used Slack, Skype, and Zoom to communicate. Like almost every single tech company, Arkotech Corporation has surpassed some deadlines but that has always been communicated; I appreciated their honesty. The project manager made communication easy. There was a point in time when we were talking almost every day or every other day, which I enjoyed. The Arkotech Corporation team has an effective way of explaining features in both a technical and nontechnical manner based on their audience.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team’s greatest strength is their ability to perform and implement research. They’d told us that they had little previous experience with Google Cloud Platform since it’s new compared to Microsoft Azure or AWS. Arkotech Corporation took the time to not only learn Google Cloud Platform but also implement the technology into our app for launch.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Like a lot of companies that are based on the East or West Coast, it can be difficult to find compatible times to communicate. After we established a routine, it was easy to reach Arkotech Corporation.
