Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of FeedMe; we’re a food app business. Our app allows third-party restaurants to sell their surplus food for a discount price.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Appic Software?

I needed someone who could help me to develop that application to make my business work.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Appic Software has been helping us to develop our food application further. They asked multiple questions about what I was looking for, and they took what we had to turn it into a complete product.

In terms of functionality, they’re finishing an app where third-party restaurants can sell their surplus food by putting images and descriptions of the products so people can know why the food is surplus, why it’s going to waste, and why they are selling it. We also have tabs for the surplus food and another for the unique deals, so people can know the difference between them and what they’re buying, which is big for me — I don’t want people to be tricked into buying something that is something that is not what they think it is.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with a couple of people from their team, including Avinash (Business Analyst) and Shubham (Founder).

How did you come to work with Appic Software?

They were referred to me by a friend.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $10,500 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t launched the app yet — they’re about to finish it. What I can say is that I’m delighted with how they send me weekly updates on both the user and vendor sides of the app for me to go through and provide feedback. Consequently, whenever I request any functionality change that’s not right, they take care of it right away and send it back to see if the problem is already resolved.

How did Appic Software perform from a project management standpoint?

We keep in constant contact through Skype. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Despite the different time zones, their communicative approach distinguishes them from other providers; I can call or text them any time of day, and they’ll be willing to talk to me to see what’s going on. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — I’m satisfied with their work and communication with us, which is crucial for me.

Any advice for potential customers?

Speak up so they can know precisely what you want; don’t be afraid to provide honest feedback. Remember that you’re making an investment and that your money is at stake, so take advantage of their genuine approach and the fact that they’re also open to help you accomplish your goals.
