The scope of work included establishing a new design system to guide future designs and ensure consistency. Wireframes and UX flows were created as blueprints for layout and user interactions. The team also delivered appealing visual designs, innovatively designed new features, and redesigned existing ones for better aesthetics and functionality. All these deliverables were crafted with meticulous attention to detail and user experience in mind.

The project's success is demonstrated by the effective rollout of new and existing features in the new design system. This has received positive feedback from internal stakeholders and customers, signaling improved usability and aesthetics. What stood out most impressively about this company was their rapid understanding of our subject matter and use cases. They swiftly grasped complex concepts and expertly translated them into innovative and user-friendly designs. Their ability to quickly and accurately understand our needs saved significant time and effort, streamlining the entire process. 

Moreover, their team was an absolute pleasure to work with. They demonstrated a genuine friendliness and warmth that made every interaction enjoyable. Despite the demanding nature of our project, they maintained a consistently positive attitude, fostering a collaborative and upbeat atmosphere throughout our engagement. The combination of their technical expertise and interpersonal skills sets them apart.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Amplifyn could have done differently?

While Amplifyn's creativity and extra effort often add a unique touch to our project, there were instances where this exceeded the required scope. Clearer communication about these additional efforts could help align both parties better. However, this is more about refining their approach than a significant improvement area, as their added 'wow' factor is truly appreciated.

What challenge were you trying to address with Amplifyn?

We wanted to do something radical because our application was getting old.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Amplifyn designed the full application using Figma. When we finalized the design, they sent a handout to the developers with comments and directions. Then, they had a meeting with the development team to explain the sketches and ensure everything was understood.

What is the team composition?

We worked with two designers and had one primary contact.

How did you come to work with Amplifyn?

We’d used developers from Sri Lanka and were looking for skilled resources abroad because it was challenging to find skilled personnel. Our two main criteria were the cost and availability of the personnel.

How much have you invested with them?

The total budget was around €1 million (approximately $1.1 million USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–May 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve only released two modules; we’re still running partly through the whole system policy, looking to improve the app. We’ve had bugs here and there, but that’s normal.

On the other hand, the results have been excellent even though we didn’t expect much customer growth. We have 85% of the market.

How did Amplifyn perform from a project management standpoint?

We were satisfied with the project management. The team was skilled, and they always listened to what we wanted to improve and came up with suggestions. If we wanted to change something or go in a different direction, Amplifyn was responsive and service-minded.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What stood out the most about their team was their dedication to meeting our needs and bringing innovative solutions.

No, there wasn’t anything to improve. We were satisfied with their services.

Compose Software AS is a Norwegian IT company delivering low-code application development software for electronic forms, process automation, and case management.

For what projects/services did your company hire Amplifyn?

We hired Amplifyn to do re-branding of the company logo and graphical profile across our digital and offline channels, including designing new websites. We were in need to modernize and professionalize the visual appearance of the company, and to give a holistic brand experience across all our channels.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We chose Amplifyn because we worked with them on another UI/UX project together with our partner and were confident that the designers were professional and delivered high quality services.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The project initiation included defining the scope and goals together with Amplifyn. The project was divided into two phases because it was time-critical for us to go live with new websites first. The first phase included a new brand guidebook and logo re-designs, as well as Social Media banners, and new websites including the most critical pages.

Phase two included stationery designs such as power-point design, word-template, email signatures, as well as the remaining pages. All designs were developed in Figma, and the handover included Figma files as well as the MS Office templates.

We had 2 designers working with us. 1 lead designer and 1 designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Amplifyn was very structured in the way they initiated and conducted the project, and clear in the communication which made everything run smoothly. The designers were very creative and professional. I would highly recommend working with Amplifyn. We now have a brand design that we are proud to launch and that gives a holistic brand experience to clients, employees and partners.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team was working agile with daily review meetings in the initial phase. This allowed us to see the progress, clarify uncertainty and align understanding of goals.

Amplifyn structured the scope into smaller tasks that were prioritized in sprints and visualized in a sprint board for us to follow. The communication efficient and Amplify showed good understanding of our needs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Amplifyn was very structured in the way they initiated and conducted the project, and clear in the communication which made everything run smoothly. The designers were very creative and professional. I would highly recommend working with Amplifyn.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We were creating the new brand book and designing new websites almost simultaneously, where delays in the brand-book work could block the progress of the websites, but this “close race” was still a necessary risk we accepted because of the time-critical phase one release.

This made it very important to stick to the scope. Amplifyn was still able to deliver a lot in the short time we had, and we’re very satisfied with the results.
