What challenge were you trying to address with Altigee?

We worked with them to build out a core platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We contracted four of their developers to construct the platform. Our team consulted those four team members for various development efforts and projects. Focusing their efforts on software engineering, the fronted developer used React to conduct their work.  

What is the team composition?

There was a frontend engineer, full-stack developer, data engineer, and a backend developer.

How did you come to work with Altigee?

My engineering advisor worked with them in the past and referred them to me. We trusted the referral and contracted them to work with us. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since November 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re a great team the can augment companies through their software development processes. Through our regular standups, we’re able to continuously analyze their work. We’re happy with it to this point.  

How did Altigee perform from a project management standpoint?

We run very tight scrum meetings, planning our milestones on a weekly basis. Their team is essentially embedded in ours. They supply their own equipment, handle paperwork, and other tasks on their end. The four engineers are completely dedicated to our team.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

The caliber of their talent is very high. They source great candidates and embed them within our team. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything. They provide a great service, and the billing process has always been simple.

If you need to augment your team, they’re a great choice.

I’m the founder and CEO of HAPPY, a design studio mostly focused on UX/UI. We also do branding work for websites.

What challenge were you trying to address with Altigee?

We needed someone to develop our website to run smoothly and have animations. The goal was to make it run as precisely as we designed and animated it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our website. We provided designs for them and they created a scope of work. They planned the sprints and demoed to us regularly. We’ve had a couple more projects we’ve done together as well. It’s become a long-term partnership.

What is the team composition?

There was one backend developer, two frontend developers, and one project manager. From our side, there was our UX/UI designer and myself, as the director.

How did you come to work with Altigee?

We knew each other on social media and we had friends in common who recommended them. I got good feedback from my trusted connections so I felt comfortable talking with them. All their briefing stages were smooth and fun. We felt we wanted to work with them.

How much have you invested with them?

Our total investment is roughly $37,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2019 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t pay too much attention to statistics on Google Analytics because I don’t have time for it. We have new leads all the time and people recommend us. People view our website and come to us. I usually hear that we have a great website.

Sometimes I review videos of users that click and go through our website. We have small animations on the website and it’s fun to see visitors are playing with the stuff. I see that people love it.

How did Altigee perform from a project management standpoint?

We were in contact with everyone which was nice. Many questions were communicated directly with the designer and their developers without a long chain of managers. Their project manager was responsible for delivery or presentations and demos. They met all the deadlines. I love the communication with their CEO and project manager. I’m truly satisfied.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team is mostly young — up to 30 years old. They have energy — working with them was filled with passion. Communication, proficiency, following deadlines, and everything else was absolutely clean and clear.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I’d have them improve. After doing a couple of projects together, we’ve aligned our processes together well. That’s something we’ve improved already.

I’m the founder and CEO of the Global Ukraine foundation. Our nonprofit was established in 2015, with the aim of connecting citizens from the Ukrainian diaspora with reformers in the country.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Altigee?

Our global site went completely down because of an issue caused by our former team, and we needed to recover four years' worth of content. We went to Altigee for help.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Altigee had four weeks to solve the issues and recover all our content from the AWS infrastructure. We were developing a new community management platform and Android and iOS apps, so it was critical to recover the content from the existing site.

They worked on recovering our data and making connections to integrate it with our new platform.

What is the team composition?

I was in contact with Max (Co-Founder & CEO). He assigned tasks to his team of front- and backend engineers. 

How did you come to work with Altigee?

We needed someone with a deep understanding of the AWS platform, who would know how to recover our content. I put a call on my Facebook page, and one of my contacts introduced us to Altigee. She gave a strong recommendation for Max, and I heard enough information during our first discussion to know that Altigee would be solid enough to do the job.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together between August–October 2019, which is when our launch was. Altigee completed their part of the job, but we’re still in contact with them. Altigee can be a useful outsourcing supplier for our future activities and IT support.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We organize community events in around 80 countries worldwide, and it was crucial to recover the whole content of the old site to avoid a big catastrophe. Altigee definitely saved our project. 

How did Altigee perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m very exigent in my efficiency expectations, and I was very happy with Altigee’s work and had no complaints. They were professional and agile, and they did great work. I believe they used classic agile tools. As the project owner, the key point for me was to have a business development manager in front of the team, who’d understand us easily and be able to describe tasks and give objectives to his team. 

From our point of view, Altigee was very well organized. We connected through Facebook Messenger. My job requires me to travel a lot, and Altigee’s team is split up between Ukraine and Asia. They’re used to working remotely, so we connected through phone calls and Messenger.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were able to deliver a very complicated project successfully; they worked at the highest level. Working with lesser-experienced AWS developers because of our budget led to this big issue, so that’s why we needed and appreciated a partner like Altigee. They were very professional. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We didn’t encounter anything and were satisfied. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

If the project owner has a clear idea of what he or she wants to achieve, Altigee is the right team to help with the software development task.

I am the CEO of a web content development agency.

For what projects/services did your company hire Altigee?

We hired Altigee to build a new website for us and support it.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal was to create a website with several pages, a blog and a contact form based on our design.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Altigee was a client of ours. We wrote articles for their blog and texts for their landing pages. This cooperation allowed us to see that Altigee is a company with skilled, responsible tech professionals and an impressive portfolio. Naturally, they were our first option when we decided to create a new website for the agency.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Altigee did a couple of brief calls with us to get a good grasp of our goals and what we like. Then, they set up an engineering team specifically for our project. The project was executed following the Agile methodology with several sprints.

After each sprint, the team demoed the progress and asked for our feedback. The Altigee team was very flexible and quickly handled our requests. In the end, we got exactly what we wanted.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The new website helps us generate inbound leads and convert them into clients.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Altigee provided us with a project manager, and we loved his straightforward and transparent way of communicating.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I enjoyed their proficiency, approaches to communication, and, of course, adherence to deadlines.

Are there any areas for improvement?

It would be great if Altigee could also provide design services, but we know they're working on it already.

We are a FinTech company that works in global trade finance. I'm the VP of product.

What challenge were you trying to address with Altigee?

We hired them to help with proof of concept applications.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The applications track international orders. We built native iOS and Android apps, a React app, and web applications. I managed the whole project, but all of it was very collaborative. They executed on our instructions. We came up with all the ideas and vision for the project, and they developed on each idea.

What is the team composition?

We started out with a team of three or four. At its largest, we collaborated with a team of eight. They established the company expressly so we could engage with each other. At the moment, we work with one of their employees.

How did you come to work with Altigee?

We knew their CEO, who founded the company to support projects like ours. We provided a statement of work and went from there.

How much have you invested with them?

Our total investment is between $500,000-$750,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The collaboration started around November 2017 and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They're very good at rapid prototyping. We give them product specs, and they hammer out every project. If we need more hands, we often give them right of first refusal for our projects. For proof of concept work, their quality is excellent.

How did Altigee perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is great, and they work well with explicit details. They really excel with release notes, and they communicate their process very well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're true developers, and they have a real passion for CICD and AWS cloud infrastructure. They have a pure love for engineering that is very helpful. They're enthusiastic, and they're a great group of people.

Are there any areas they could improve?

From my perspective, there's nothing I think they should improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about your goals and your expectations. If you provide detailed product specs, they will deliver exactly what you ask for.
