We have hired AlphaWebGroup for landing pages development with Drupal.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have performed research with a Clutch, and made a shortlist of Drupal development agencies. We had plenty of interviews with other companies but AWG seemed to be the most skilled in the area of Drupal Development. After reviewing the company portfolio and having a few online meetings we have decided to move forward to the development process.

They helped us to define project goals, deadlines, budget and set acceptance criteria. Once we finished with the planning we moved to development. From our side, we provided design and content for the landing pages.

We have worked with a team of 3 people including PM and 2 middle developers. Also, we consider engaging more people for future projects with AlphaWebGroup.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Thanks to the efficient development of landing pages we achieved impressive results with our marketing campaigns. We massively increased traffic to our website and constantly generated SQL leads.

The AlphaWebGroup team are real hard workers. They offer extensive customer support, never take more than 24 h to respond to our questions or solve any issues. We communicated through Slack, email, GoogleMeet and phone. All tasks were tracked with Trello, reporting was very transparent and clear.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They provide amazing service in terms of technology and customer support. The team has been proactive and always trying to offer the best solution for the business.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing I can think of. They did an amazing job, I would be happy to work with them in the future.

AlphaWebGroup was highly recommended by our partner company as qualified Drupal developers, with experience in our industry. We had an interview with BDM Valeria and a few meetings with the technical team to discuss project details, before we made a decision to start our cooperation.

The software is a Drupal web application with numerous integrations and custom features. The AWG team helped us with project estimation, planning and advised on the best solution for our needs.

Right now we work with a team of Back-End, Front-End developers, QA, and PM. During the discovery phase, we also engaged BA and Architect.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The product is already in use by our employees. With the system, we could improve the efficiency of our data management process by 40 percent so far. Also, we are still working on some features and expect even better results in the future.

The communication and project management are 10/10. Every team member has impressive hard and soft skills. They could easily adapt to our needs, switching to our favorite communication and tracking tools such as Redmine.

I was surprised how fast their team could get into the project. From day one we get all the necessary information to prepare the project for the development stage and start our collaboration ASAP.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing comes to mind, but there is always room for improvement.

My main goal was user friendly website for easy communication with my clients and partners.

I made the investigation online but I don't have a lot of experience working with web development companies. After it, I asked for recommendations and a friend of mine advised me to contact Alpha Web Group.

We had meetings twice per week. I don't have designer on my side so Alpha guys was also involved in designs creation.

The number incoming leads was increased significantly.

I got a daily updates of the project manager and it helps me to avoid extra communication and save my time. I was aware of the progress on the project without additional daily calls. We had meetings twice per week for demos and approving some changes.

They gave me a good user-friendly website. It was easy to work with the team and they were ready to explain me technical details in plain language

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It would be good to involve QA form their side as it take some time for me to make all the testing.

I’m the company director and founder of Research Through Gaming Ltd. We make games for research, training, and marketing purposes. Our clients use game data to solve commercial problems.

I was working with another vendor where Vadim was providing freelance development services. I enjoyed working with him, so when I found out that he was a full-time developer at Alpha Web Group, I switched over to working with them.

Over the course of the engagement, I’ve probably spent over €10,000 (approximately $11,300).

We started working together five years ago, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We can track how many people start the game and compare that to the completion rate. We don’t have problems with large drop off rates. Additionally, I use data collected from their games when I present at conferences. I always attribute them when discussing the work. 

How did Alpha Web Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They have fantastic project management. They have a proactive approach and come up with backup plans for everything. They really care not just about the quality of their work, but how what they do impacts their clients. They have excellent customer service. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their proactive approach and critical thinking skills are impressive. It is reassuring to know that they’re thinking about all the different logistics and potential scenarios when it comes to programming. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

This isn’t a criticism, but I wish they shared more about the scope of their work and where they intend to take the business in the future. It would be nice to have that information because it would also help me think of new ideas for what we can work on together. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Be very clear in what you want and speak in plain language. If you understand programming terms, use that to your advantage because it will make the communication more efficient. It is also helpful to have a clear plan and set of deliverables.

We hired them for web development for one of our products, which is an email security solution. Our team has a separate website for the product.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially started working with them about four years ago for a Drupal site maintenance project. They were really specialized in that area. When we wanted to revamp the entire website a few years later, we used them to create the new platform from scratch. They worked in Drupal for this project as well, handling both the front- and backend. 

They built out everything from the codebase and adapted code from Drupal modules to meet our specific needs. The team also helped with integrations between our site and our marketing platform. At this point, they’re still helping with maintenance and updates as we need them. They’re out go-to partner for these things.

From there team, I work with Roman (Project Manager, Alpha Web Group) and Valeria (Business Development Manager, Alpha Web Group). They’re my go-to resources, but there are other people staffed to the project as well.

They were recommended to us after we had several bad experiences with other development groups. We were looking for a reliable company.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re a dependable and reliable company. We’re tracking the opportunities we get through the website including the number of downloads. In terms of code accuracy, everything looks pretty good. Our entire web team is happy with their work. The quality is pretty high. They were willing to troubleshoot bugs and issues as they came up.     

How did Alpha Web Group perform from a project management standpoint?

If I email them with a concern, they respond immediately with timelines on when they can implement changes. Their the best project managers I’ve had, following deadlines and quoting their work accurately. If they set a deadline, I can trust that the work will be completed by then.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They take full responsibility for their work, even if there are problems or mistakes. It’s their mission to make sure the customer is happy, and I appreciate that. They’re flexible and trustworthy, working with more agility than other companies I’ve seen. 

I’m pleased with their response times and turnaround times. This is important to me because our site is our main source of sales and lead generation, so updates need to occur quickly. We get that attention from them because of their agile, customer-oriented outlook. They also have competitive pricing.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

In our four years of working together, we’ve learned to work together well. I don’t have any suggestions for improvement. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear with the scope of the project, clearly defining the requirements in advance. This applies to any provider, but having a thorough project plan is critical. Especially when working with development work, clearly defined plans are needed.

We use Redmine for tracking tasks and meeting times and check that against the invoices they submitted. We communicate through Google Hangouts and use Slack and IRC to share code for Drupal projects. I have monthly meetings with their business account resource and with the developers.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They handle problems that came up within their own team and only bring me in if they needed my assistance. I don’t have to constantly check their work. They are dependable and do good work. It’s been a relief to me.
