ABC was founded in 2000 to address the pressing social problems facing Los Angeles and its emerging Latino majority free of partisanship and political agendas. ABC’s vision is to strengthen Latino presence in the shaping of local policy and leading advocacy efforts. This national model will meet the needs of the growing Latino community. Its effectiveness will lie in its strengths: advocacy, policy development, leadership, and coalition-building. As a result of sound public policy and advocacy, all children and their families will have access to a quality education and a quality of life, so that they can thrive in their communities.
