Algea

Algea is an independent digital design and development studio based in India, working remotely with architecture practices, interior and spatial designers, photographers, object and craft studios, and premium small businesses.

A portfolio is more than an image grid. It is how a practice is understood. So we start with the work: the projects, collaborators, locations, materials and credits you need to share. That structure shapes the interface, from what belongs together to what needs room and what a visitor should be able to discover.

What we do:

• Digital direction: visual direction, project narratives, homepage direction, page architecture, and typography and image treatment that carry your identity into the browser.

• Bespoke engineering: custom project and archive layouts, galleries, drawing viewers, project schemas and a CMS scoped to what your team actually maintains.

• Image integrity: original-quality exports, responsive sizes and colour-profile checks, so photographs keep their tone and detail.

• Launch & stewardship: mobile and accessibility review, metadata, sitemap and launch checks, plus source, access and update guidance.

How we work: a clear brief, a written scope (pages, content, interactions, revisions and schedule), visible review stages and a practical handover. Domain and hosting stay in your name with direct provider billing.

Our directed research includes four interactive monographs: Studio North (architecture), Still / Somewhere (photography), Forma (spatial design) and Atelier Nº 04 (object & craft). Commercial work includes building goodmushroom.in end to end and contributing to itshemp.in.
