We needed help with website development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Alabama Solutions has been developing a sports betting website for us. We already had the design and the base for its building, so they're improving and further developing the platform. In terms of tools, their team uses Angular, MongoDB, and Java, among other technologies. Currently, we're focusing on improving the platforms' UX.

What was the team composition?

We've been working with a team of 15–20 members, which changes depending on the workload.

How did you come to work with Alabama Solutions?

We had interviews with different companies, and the bank's board chose Alabama because of their availability and ability to adjust to our budget needs.

How much have you invested in them?

We've spent about $400,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In technical terms, we’ve had outstanding results, and we've been able to improve in many ways. Our site was outdated, and we could modernize it and make significant advances in technology through Alabama Solutions' work.

How did Alabama Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They're great in general, but as far as their work and project management, they're solid. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their technical skills and ability to solve problems and understand the client are outstanding traits from the partnership.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were some issues with the integration with our team as they sometimes requested things that were not ready or that we didn’t manage. They're a young company, and as such, they have some things that they will have to improve over time, especially in terms of budget and hours worked.

We hired Alabama to develop our own digital wallet. The scope included:

• A variety of financial functionalities
• QR purchases
• Integration with all financial institutions in the country
• Betting
• Fidelity programs
• Web development
• Backend console

Deliverables were defined per functionality. We agreed to divide them by quarter and the were very sharp in scope, budget and time.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They used Scrum methodology so we measured sprints every 2 weeks in virtual meetings with them.
