What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website for Core has not been launched yet. We will share the goals and objectives of the project. Our goal is to develop a scalable and maintainable MVP CorePropTech website that includes a Content Management System (CMS) and frontend website for agents. Ahiho Team successfully achieved our goals of creating an MVP CorePropTech website that consists of a scalable and maintainable architecture that caters explicitly to agents' needs.

I recently worked with Ahiho Team to build a website for our business and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with their level of service. From the initial consultation to the launch of our website, their team was communicative, knowledgeable and professional.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CTO, personally focused on Front End development, at a Danish software startup, providing productivity tools for the fashion industry.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Ahiho, and what were your goals?

Building a Tinder-like swiping app for consumer fashion shopping. Our goal was to revolutionize the way we shop clothes by making browsing fun and bite-sized. We also planned to bring more social aspects to online shopping.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

A colleague at our co-working space had previously worked with Vietnamese mobile developers, and they recommended Long of Ahiho to us.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We hired Long of Ahiho to develop our mobile and backend stack. Long took on the role of systems architect, as well as lead mobile and backend developer. He also setup and managed our cloud and devops services, first on Azure, later on Digital Ocean, and finally on AWS.

Long worked closely with us in sprint-based iterations, to develop an excellent mobile app, the backend and ops required to run it, as well as creating a REST API for both the mobile app and our web frontend to consume.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Long, the cofounder of Ahiho worked full time with us for the duration of the project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within months, Long built an iOS app we could launch on the AppStore. He did an excellent job matching the design provided by our designer, and we had a very easy time communicating with Long. All things that Long built where built with scalability in mind, using the latest technologies.

Whether that be the iOS app itselves, but especially the cloud infrastructure he set up to support our app. At the same time, he did an excellent job optimizing our expenses, so we got the most value for our money. We could clearly sense that he cared more about creating a successful product, than making a quick buck.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We used our Discord channel as an open virtual office, where we could easily drop in and out with questions. For day-to-day work, we worked in 2-week sprints with weekly check-ins, and more ad-hoc meetings as needed. Long was always extremely responsive, and would work many hours to help us reach our goals.

Additionally, we had the personal phone number of Long for emergencies, and he more than once "put out fires" - did emergency relief when our clients experienced trouble. It was harder to make Long take a break, than it was to make him deliver results.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Long is an absolutely brilliant 100x developer. He is not only extremely fast at implementing solutions. He is also deeply immersed in the software development space, and always on top of the latest developments. You could tell that he was passionate about making the best solutions, and would go above and beyond to make sure we built scalable and maintainable solutions.

He didn't only take orders, but brought his own opinions and suggestions, which we valued greatly. Long didn't know all the tools we ended up using upfront, but he displayed an amazing ability to pick up new technologies as needed, and quickly master them. Maybe most importantly, he was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. I would not hesitate 2 seconds to hire Long and Ahiho again, and still consider Long a dear friend to this day.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I am only sad that I am no longer working with Long.
