Jamaica native, Acquille Dunkley, is pushing the boundaries of what we see as fine art. In 2023, Jamaica recognized and honored him with the Prime Minister’s Youth Award for his impact on arts and culture. His art work has been featured in the National Gallery of Jamaica, as well as other galleries internationally. With over a decade of experience, his expansive portfolio showcases his unique ability to communicate visually through multiple mediums with a focus on elevating the Caribbean culture.

Acquille discovered his aptitude for art and design as a teenager in high school. The summer he graduated, he was chosen to represent North America at the 2013 Adobe Certified Professional World Championship in Photoshop. The competition provided a graphic design challenge where he competed with designers from 19 other countries. This experience motivated him to work towards a higher education in the arts. Shortly after, he began his studies in photography at The Savannah College of Art and Design. It was here he discovered the importance of capturing mood and emotion through lighting. Outside the classroom, his need for more freedom in creative expression motivated him to learn multiple 3D programs like Blender 3D.

Throughout the years, Acquille has found innovative ways to merge skills he developed from photography, digital 3D technology and motion graphics in every project he works on. From creating eye-catching visuals for music artists to motion visuals for the movie industry, Acquille has proven that he has a deep understanding of the digital landscape and creative problem-solving. Outside the commercial art space, Acquille is also a digital fine artist whose mission is to inspire creativity in people, especially younger generations. He curates art shows and artist talks at galleries and schools across the United States and Jamaica.

In addition to his fine art portfolio, Acquille has worked in the Hollywood movie industry as a motion graphics designer.
