BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the Head of Marketing at a mid-sized B2B organization with its headquarters in Shenzhen, China.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire 8Digital, and what were your goals?

Our team hired 8Digital to help us improve our online presence in search rankings of Google within the U.S. market. We also hired the 8Digital team to help us with paid advertising on Google and social media platforms to drive revenue for our business within the US. The primary goals for this project were lead and revenue-related. We had a specific target market (U.S.) and that’s why we brought on a team that has expertise and experience specifically working with and knowing our target audience and market.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked at hiring a few different marketing agencies to assist us with this project, but we felt that 8Digital fit the most in terms of their experience in the U.S. as well as their local team in Shenzhen and China.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and campaigns.

Their team was responsible for running all U.S. market efforts for both SEO and PPC. This includes managing our ad spend across platforms, optimizing the ad accounts as well as building out the overarching content strategy and development for our target audience in the U.S.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Our team, including myself, worked closely with their project manager Justin, as well as their local specialist Michael. We also worked closely with their technical-integrator, Dragan.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We’ve been able to see a massive improvement in search rankings, as well as an improvement in conversions, and a decrease in customer acquisition cost. We closely link all metrics and KPIs back against revenue using their reporting so we can see and report on performance on a monthly basis, and easily prove the positive performance of working with their team.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Overall we found working with 8Digital to be a very smooth process and that’s why we continue to use their services. Having local contacts here as well as a team of US and European contacts has made it super easy to interface between all teams across timezones.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their expertise of having marketing experts located throughout the world, including China. They are able to work in our timezone and clearly communicate during the process.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There are no areas for improvement I’d like to include at this time.
