I am the founder of a Coaching and Training services company called "Evolve with Agile coaching". Our company offers coaching, training, and consulting services to professionals who are looking for career transition, up-leveling their career, or any kind of consultation related to their career. In addition to this, we also offer training and consulting services to enable Agile Transformation for the corporate sector.

I found them through a referral. I looked at their website and was impressed with the kind of work Ridha had done for other service-based clients and was impressed with that. Immediately, I booked my first call where she understood my needs quickly, answered all my questions patiently, and walked me through her process.

After beginning with a series of discovery calls, they provided us with copywriting for our website making our ideal client more relevant. Also, they provided a website structure where it did not have before. The website has a better flow and message.

We worked together with the owner Ridha. She was very attentive to details and very calming with our team.

We have seen more traction on our website, and clients know quickly now what we do and how we provide our services. It made us increase our prices and talk straight to our ideal client.

We communicated regularly by email and we had meetings in between to answer questions and get more details of the work.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their commitment to understand and learn about our services was outstanding. They provided market research with SEO strategies for our brand and gave us a better understanding of how we could be more profitable only with the copy that we could use in our marketing messages.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end of the project. We are looking forward to working with their company again in the near future.

I’m the owner of a crochet accessory boutique that I operate on my own.

I was having trouble with branding and logo design, so I hired them to help.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I had a general idea about how I wanted my brand to look. They took my idea and reviewed several different options with me. For instance, I was initially thinking about using a ball of yarn within my logo. They pushed me to be creative and do something different that would make me stand out. They came up with several ideas and presented them to me. This involved a logo and color palette, which ensures that I create a cohesive brand. 

What is the team composition?

I mainly communicated with one individual, and they would take my feedback to a larger team. 

How did you come to work with Twelve and Twenty Eight?

I was connected with them on Instagram for a while, so I commonly saw logos they created for other businesses. It seemed like they were able to take logo design to the next level, so I sent them an Instagram message. They were also following me on Instagram, so they were already familiar and excited about working with me. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from February–April 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I love my new brand and logo. It looks much more professional and cohesive than I was expecting. When I take my products to markets, people often compliment the logo. From there, they are more likely to visit my website with the color palette they determined. That feedback from customers has been very validating.     

How did Twelve and Twenty Eight perform from a project management standpoint?

They always got back to me with feedback, suggestions, and explanations very quickly. I really appreciated that while deciding upon my final color palette. They responded to my questions and concerns almost immediately, explaining their reasoning for the new colors. That put my mind at ease. They made sure I was supportive of their decisions every step of the way. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their honestly and recommendations throughout this entire process. They professionally informed me that my ideas wouldn’t make me stand out from other companies, so we pivoted. Their team went above and beyond to create something that would be best for my growing brand. They cared about me as a person, putting more effort into the project than I was expecting.

I’m the co-founder and president of Simply Smita. This is an organic body care and wellness company. We sell organic, environmentally conscious, and ethically made body care products that I hand-make. As well, we have a wellness blog that covers a lot of green living and mindful living topics.

What challenge were you trying to address with Twelve and Twenty Eight?

I wanted a logo design. My husband and I do a lot of our design but had been struggling with graphic design. I had pages and pages of hand-scribbled art and couldn’t come to a place where I felt happy.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I told Twelve and Twenty Eight about our brand and handed her five pages of my scribbles. I communicated that I wanted the logo to be green with leaves and an ‘S.’ Then, she created three AI versions of potential logos. I liked one of them but wanted a slight adjustment. Within a couple of days, she adapted the design. We had one phone call in-between because she wanted to make sure that she hit everything we wanted. The first design she handed back’s still our logo today. A year later, I hired Twelve and Twenty Eight again to design my media kit. That’s what I give to wholesalers and includes all my product information, ingredient breakdown, and where people can find me.

We worked with just one person, the co-founder—Ridha (Co-Founder and Brand Designer, Twelve and Twenty Eight).

How did you come to work with Twelve and Twenty Eight?

I was introduced to Twelve and Twenty Eight through my cousin who knew the founder. I met with Ridha in person and felt confident in her abilities right away. She really heard what I had to say and believed in the business. She wanted to give me exactly what I wanted not what she wanted as a designer. I felt that she had my best interest at heart.

How much have you invested with them?

We were one of their first customers so we got a good deal. We spent a couple of hundred dollars.

What is the status of this engagement?

We were in a time crunch, so she came up with the logo quickly. At most, the project took about a month. Twelve and Twenty Eight started in the summer of 2017 and the labels were printed in time for our launch in September.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The logo’s on all of our products and everybody has loved it. People recognize our brand in the ‘S’ and the leaves. It symbolizes what we stand for. It’s earthy, organic, and natural, so we get a great response to it. Our logo is my favorite part of our branding. I love it. I was amazed that she was able to take my chicken scratch because my ideas were all over the place.

How did Twelve and Twenty Eight perform from a project management standpoint?

We were on a time crunch and Twelve and Twenty Eight finished the project earlier than expected. I was impressed by how she created the logo so quickly. She was prompt in her responses. After I received the logo, I needed a separate size for the logo. I got a reply that day and received the product that week. She was easy to work with and a quick communicator.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

She’s passionate about your passions. Her passion is design, which she puts into her work and art. She believes in small businesses and wants to help them shine. It worked really well for me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, no. I’ve been so happy with her that I’ve worked with her twice already in the past couple of years.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important to meet in person. If you’re not local, set up a video or phone call to communicate what you want and make sure that she understands the goal of the project. Once she connects to the heart of the project she excels.

Twelve and Twenty Eight discussed my ideas regarding the brand. They gathered business and design requirements. They provided a detailed color palette of primary and secondary colors and fonts that we would utilize. We had discussions with the developers and marketing team. We had a shared file that was utilized by all project members. Ridha provided design directions and detailed descriptions of how exactly the layout and feel of the website needed to be. Everything was continuously discussed and adjusted until the brand shined from the design of the website.

After an introductory call to set goals, we provided Ridha with a large amount of information on past projects, visioning (both verbal and photographic) and descriptions of services to be provided. She broke each of these up into phases for review and approval before moving on to the next phase.
